Want to see more of...

Post#1 » by HisClutchness » Mon Jul 28, 2014 9:41 pm

What do you want to see more of this year? More feeds to Howard, more set plays, more pick and rolls, ect.

I personally would love to see the Harden/Howard Pick and Role perfected, we saw many glimpses of greatness there last year but imo its far from perfect. Especially when considering we have two "Superstars" running it.

Less ISOs, better defense, better team work.

And at least make the playoffs.
* Since 1985, Jeremy Lin became one of 15 players to have scored at least 20 points, seven assists and a steal for six games in a row, including 136 points in 5 starts beating out Iverson, Jordan and O'Neal :D

Defense. No more Lin. No more Parsons. Trevor Ariza is a notable defensive wing. No more excuses.

We need a set system on offense and players to play within the system. No harden Iso, more ball movement. We just need more depth though I think. Even the heat had role players step up during crucial times. We don't really have any of those players unfortunately.

TROY DANIELS!!!!!!

harden and howard pnr

harden and howard being leaders and team players

ariza proving last year wasn't a contract year

nicky and canaan proving to be capable backups so we maybe miss lin a little less

jones and motie taking a step or 2 forward

capela owning the d-league if he comes over (maybe a few call ups to show what he can do)

who is our backup small forward? gee or Garcia? I hope its gee. I don't know why but I have a good feeling about him

can Dorsey or Adrien step up as a 4/5 combo and play with jones and motie when howard gets in foul trouble

LESS ISOS!!!!!

Less twitter wars.

And T Jones getting his confidence back.

D-Mo be more consistent, be little smarter on how he match up. No more long 3pts.

didn't we sign him to a contract? why wouldn't he come over?
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

Also are two big things im looking forward to seeing.

Troy is a sniper so we have to have a few plays designed for him to get up some shots, and putting it simply the back up PG spot is going to be fun to watch develop. Hopefully one steps up big for us.

Yeah, he's on the Roster. I expect him to be up here a few times this season, but most will be spent tearing up the Valley.

From Switzerland to McAllen...just a little culture shock.

As for what I want to see:

More set plays
Better Substitutions
Jones & Motie taking the next step
Better defensive effort from the Beard
More intensity from Dwight
Pat Beverley getting an opponent to the point where they take a swing at him

Less Hack a Howard or Hack a Dorsey (who's an even worse FT shooter)
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

teamball!
Fact is that momentum in games is a real thing, while not tangible itself, you can tangibly see the effect it has when teams are on runs and how it can dramatically effect the outcome of games when you can generate any momentum.

The Howard/Harden pick-and-roll should be made the center piece of the offense. I think it would be more effective than the two of them taking turns iso'ing.

And Harden's defense is the largest bugaboo. The Rockets are going nowhere unless he can at least give some effort on that end of the floor.
