Game 1 vs Lin's Lakers on TNT @ Staples.
Game 82 vs Utah @ Toyota (in case there is a last day tie breaker for playoff seeding)

6 games on TNT. 9 games on ESPN. 2 games on ABC. 8 games on NBATV = 25 national tv games

Did I hear correctly that we start with a back-to-back? Man...the NBA schedule guy is not wasting time this year! :lol:

I guess it's good to get b2b earlier in the year, one interesting game is Rockets v. TWolves in Mexico City. Well not interesting should be a blow out, kinda sucks for the fans down there.
Minnesota must be the official team of Mexico. ha

Yeah you want B2B's early when you're fresh. As far as I can remember the front end of our schedule always seems to be packed with B2Bs and then it eases up later.

Don't why know why LAL still has so many nationally televised games. They are going to be terrible next year. I guess people just like watching the Lakers. Maybe because it might be Kobe's last season?

HOU got knocked out of the first round in 6 games. Not like we could talk like contenders ourselves.

Kobe is Kobe, he is probably still more popular than Lebron. He is on pace to pass Jordan in all time scoring this season.

Rockets @ Lakers is going to be fun to watch.

Lakers are one of the largest markets (by far) with a vast fan base across the country; and for every fan there are two that hate them and will tune in to hopefully watch them lose. They could be 0-82 and still be a massive ratings draw. They are the Yankees of Basketball.

Look at the attendance numbers from last year, looks like the Clippers beat out the Lakers on home pct. Rockets are always sold out at home games... people just forget they bought tickets until the 2nd half.

I guess the more important number should be the road pct where the Lakers where still top 3 at like 93%.
TWolves ahead of Rockets at 92%! Which was 17% better than their home pct wtf!?!
Rockets 7th in the league. Clippers toward the bottom of the league.
NBA should give Clippers nationally televised games to Minny give the people what they.

Interesting numbers, didn't know Wolves were so popular away.

Rickymania?

Also, Clippers on the bottom maybe from the Sterling PR fiasco.

First 10 games:

@LAL
vUTH
vBOS
@PHI
@MIA
vSAS
vGSW
@MIN
vPHI
@OKC

The Rockets should be at least 7-3 to start the season.

If they are only 7 - 3, then Rockets will not make the playoff. 5 out of the 10 are tank teams. Lakers not tanking, but dont see then going anywhere. So basically, you see Houston only win 1 game against contender teams

The 1st 10 games does not determine anything & 7-3 is just fine. I remember Philly beating the Heat and a few other playoff teams including us early last year.

OKC, SAS and GSW are all contenders. MIA could still be tough.
I'll take 7-3

Also note the "at least" portion of my statement. I'm suggesting the Rockets have the opportunity get off to a great start (9-1) given their schedule. However, crazy stuff happens in the NBA and there is a rarely a gimmie game anymore so 7-3 should be fine, assuming they lose to somebody they shouldn't and beat a contender.
