Bosh to Houston?

Post#1 » by inquisitive » Thu Nov 6, 2014 11:33 pm

Thought i would pose this question. If the Heat play really bad up to the trade deadline...say several games below .500 and Riley decides to 'rebuild' and entertain offers for Bosh...should the Rockets try and make a trade for him? Say Les doesn't mind paying the tax, etc... Would you guys like having Bosh now or has that ship sailed?

How would you possibly match 22 million without giving up Harden or Howard?
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

i still think the perfect PF for this team is Taj Gibson
i hear he's not happy in Chicago not getting the starter job

Ryan Anderson.

IF we have Ryan Anderson this team would win 60+ games.

I agree that Gibson would also be a great fit but for a different reason.

Anderson is shooting less than 40% from the field and less than 30% on three pointers. Yes it's only been 4 games but he's averaging a healthy 15 shot attempts per game so far and those percentages are awful. Maybe it's because of the injuries last year but right now TJ is better than him so far this season.

Fact is that momentum in games is a real thing, while not tangible itself, you can tangibly see the effect it has when teams are on runs and how it can dramatically effect the outcome of games when you can generate any momentum.

First of all sample size. Its a minuscule sample size. And i love that he's shooting 15 shots a game despite doing it poorly at the moment.

I said the same thing about Troy Daniel, i'm going to repeat it for Ryan Anderson. Shooter gotta shoot. A shooter that is shy is no shooter at all. Once you've proven that you are a world class shooter, i don't worry about miss shots. Its guys like Tjones, Dmo and Ish Smith attempting 3pt shots that make me cringe.

Ryan Anderson is a world class shooter. The sheer amount of attempts he put up from beyond the arc is mind boggling. You know how difficult it is to shoot 7 3pt shots every game at 40%? Anderson did it a year ago. And came darn close to it the year before. Thats a skill only a handful of NBA players possess right now; that ability to hit 3pt shots at a high volume with minimum space.

Besides, its not really about making open 3s. Guys like Anderson have gravity. They pull defenders. I've never seen anyone purposely leave Ryan Anderson alone at the 3pt line. Right now defenders are still cheating off Tjones/Dmo/Papa to help on Dwight and Harden. A shooter of that caliber at the 4 (who can also rebound btw) would make this offense completely unguardable.

i'd rather have a PF that play D, rebound, and is a decent shooter like milsap, but Ryno would be a good addition...i miss the "delfino" mentality on this team.

milsap it is then....but after tonite's game, i think we need a pt gd who can run the offense...harden running it gets fatigued late in the game and he starts making TOs... i dont trust bev's health as the season goes on...his health is a big question mark...canaan showed some good signs against curry, but someone like dragic would be better.

i think if given more minutes, dmo could do a decent defensive job against the likes of lma, randolph, and dirk to a certain extent....would love to have both milsap and dragic...that is a championship team right now.

Jones is good at the 4 and gives this team versatility. Where the Rockets need a clear upgrade is backup center. I like Black but we need more in the short term.

Defiantly need an upgrade at PF. Jones doesn't cut it. He is nice to have coming off the bench but there is not a single aspect of his game that you can count on every night. Inconsistent offense, inconsistent defense, inconsistent rebounding. Would much rather a guy like Milsap, etc that will bring it every night.

When Bev returns I think we are fine at the point. The warriors game was a bad example, even though it was winnable. McHale obviously didn't have a plan of attack with Dwight out and it made our guards look bad (including Harden). The plan for a game should not ever be "here the ball James go try to win".

Anyone else sick of national media drooling over the Warriors? They really aren't that special. Klay is a whinny b!tch, Bogut will get injured and be irrelevant, Lee doesn't do anything great, Curry is good but can be countered with aggressive defense....etc etc.
