It needs to be done with half the team out.
Dwight
http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/12013926/dwight-howard-houston-rockets-aims-saturday-return-knee-soreness"That's the plan," Howard said of his potential return Saturday. "I don't want to put a date on it, but that might be the best time. We'll have a couple days of practice after [Thursday's game against Sacramento], and I should be ready to go."
Jones
Out indefinitely can't find how he is coming along.

Papanikolaou
Back end of next week?
http://houston.cbslocal.com/2014/12/06/papanikolaou-has-sprained-mcl/“It’s a first degree, sprained MCL,” he said. “Things could be even worse. I’m happy that it’s that way. It looks like it’ll be a couple of weeks, like 10-14 days to get back.
Can't find anything on Canaan or Cisco.

EW. Had one of those. Didn't like it.
Though I'm liking the current lack of cartilage in my knee even less.
Sorry, Roy.

lol yeah cant believe this thread would've been like 5 pages long if someone made it last month
after looking into what kind of injury jones had (peroneal nerve contusion), the earliest he can return is mid january, and he wont be near 100%, and he has to to work his way back into the rotation. i woudlnt be suprised if he's out for the season. hope he doesnt need surgery on it
The treatment and outcome of the individual’s injury will depend upon the severity of the peroneal nerve contusion. For some cases corticosteroids may be injected to reduce the inflammation and pressure on the nerve, surgery could be an option, and physical therapy may also be a form of treatment to enhance muscular strength (Dugdale, 2011). Ice and heat may also be recommended, but if sensation is loss in the skin then the patient should be extra careful about the use of ice and heat. Again, depending upon the severity of the injury, the patient may have atrophy in the leg and a physical therapy program will most likely be implemented. If the peroneal nerve injury is substantial in the knee-level then a graft repair will often be the prognosis of the nerve repair (Cho, 2011).
Recovery time can be lengthy, due to the delicacy of the healing process of a nerve. The treatment may be to let the nerve grow back on its own and this could take several months or the injury may be severe enough to permanently disable the individual.
the good thing is he'll be out 2 months time after december

Yikes! That doesn't sound good at all. Maybe it would be worth it not to rush him back this season.

It would be nice if we could get a real update on Jones. My guess is if he's not healthy by the deadline, the Rockets may be forced to make a deal to add some bigs depth.

How did Dwight look against Denver?
I was busy watching Interstellar.
If you haven't seen it, fix that immediately.

Beast mode, but I read his knee got tight so we'll see.
Why were the Yankees playing a home game in Texas? The film was confusing at times for me.

If Jones is out for the year I wonder if we can get an injury exception like the Lakers did for Julius Randle. It would only be worth half Jones salary so it's not much but I think it would let us sign a 16th player without having to cut anyone (can anyone confirm that?)

I'm not going to say the movie didn't have a few hiccups.
Overall, it was phenomenally brilliant and Nolan wins again.
Still my second favorite director behind Lumet.

Jason Terry will not make the trip to Denver. He's with his wife who is going to give birth to their child any day now.
