[Game #33 - 1/3/15] Miami Heat @ Houston Rockets Game Thread

Let's see...
.) We'll ignore DMo being guarded by Shawne Williams and chuck up 48 3 pt attempts, connecting on 11 of them (22%).
.) Harden continues his performance from last night, b/c he partied too hard on New Years.
.) Ariza, continues to do what he's done all season on offense.
.) Brewer comes back down to Earth, Smith will chuck b/c he's open and Terry/Beverley stay in their slumps. Beverley will dribble the ball baseline numerous times, terminate his dribble on the other side and miss 4 floaters or put our offense in a bad spot.
.) Because Miami is not a "big team," we'll force feed Dwight where he'll have 5 TOV's and 9 missed FT's.
.) Speaking of turnovers, we'll have 20+ as a team which will fuel Miami's transition game.
.) Speaking of missed FT's, Josh Smith will miss his only attempts of the game, DMo will miss a few, and Dorsey will embarrass himself again - this is all in addition to Dwight's missed FT's.
.) Return of the "Haren". Wade has been 26+ PPG lately, and while I'd expect we go with Ariza on Wade, expect Deng, who's been having good games, decide to go off.
.) And don't forget Danny Granger, who has returned from his injury, and been showing flashes of his former all-star self. Seriously though...Granger in his last 3 is doing 18 PPG on 69/63 from the field/3.
.) Expect Bosh to stretch out our defense, forcing us to go small and then get beat on the offensive boards. Didn't Justin Hamilton kill us last time? Again, expect this small ball to give us problems with Granger/Hamilton/Williams all capable of playing the 4 for stretches, this will make our defense confused.
.) Dorsey will play minutes in this game. Nuff said? You know who else is playing well for the Heat? Hassan Whiteside. I'm not sure what his career highs are...but I'll just assume he'll get a double double in this game and that will be the first of his career.
.) Expect it to be a close game, until we go one of those Rocket patent stretches where we turn the ball over, brick 3's, and don't get back in transition prompting Miami to go on a 12-2 run to take control of the game.
.) Heat have lost 3 in a row and in dire need of a win. Chalmers and Cole are streak players, expect that streak to be "on."
.) Expect Rockets starters to come out flat, because they see Miami's 14-19 record and think after a demoralizing loss the night before, and being at home, this should be an easy win because they're supposed to win this game. This will result in a fast start for Miami, which will make the Rockets have to come from behind yet again. Miami has had wins this season against TOR, WAS, a road win @ Dallas, and Phoenix. This team is capable.
.) Spoelstra will outcoach McHale with rotations/matchups and dictate how the game is played.
I'm excited.
