Any buy-out rumors?

Post#1 » by frank1982 » Fri Feb 20, 2015 5:24 am

Are there any rumors of us buying out our own players or rumors of us going after other buy-out candidates?

We have a glut of back court players now and still lacking depth at C....
PG/G/F- Beverly/Terry/Pablo/Harden/Brewer/Ariza/Papa/KJ
F/C- Jones/Smith/Motie/Dorsey/Howard

I have heard of Perkins possibly being bought out but no link with the Rockets, I know he has a house in Tomball and is friends with Harden so I do hope he comes here. Not a world beater but has to be better than Dorsey and provide better insurance for a hurt Howard and Jones.

lets get robinson cuz he's too small for center which makes him perfect in our traditional too-small-for-center-backup-centers
stay away from perkins who can give a productive 15-20mpg at the center position.

I'd be fine with adding Perk. I'm still disappointed no big was added at the deadline.

Maybe Morey simply plans on using Motie more at 5.

motie isnt strong eough for center, only in spurts or spot minutes. he's either gonna rac up fouls or get torched. plus we need him as the 2nd option.

I don't disagree, necessarily, but he's better than Dorsey if Morey doesn't pick up anybody else. I'm also assuming Motie at 5 is more a small ball lineup.

I don't know about waiving Dorsey anymore. He's still guaranteed $1 million next season. Don't think Perkins or anyone else currently available is really much better than Dorsey to justify eating that $1 million. If we cut Joey we can't use his contract in a trade in the offseason.

Just play Capella and let him develop. If Jones can stay healthy then he, DMo and Josh can hold the fort until Dwight comes back. If Dwight doesn't come back this year having Perkins is pointless anyway.

Is Capela ready to play real minutes? So far, that answer has been: no.

Are any free agents available worth cutting $1 mil for? So far, that answer has been: no.

You are grumpy. I think Sanders is fine but simply has other priorities in life and will return to the court eventually. For sure, he's massively more effective than White.

Nobody really knows the story with Sanders so I'm not going to judge.

Even if you forget the drugs or offcourt stuff. he was fighting with teammates. Do we need that kind of cancer in the lockerroom?

He fought with Monta who was chucking and missing everything at the time. Monta wasn't good with the Bucks.

He was also a tremendous teammate to both Henson and Giannis. And when he was focused, his on-court production was very good.

If he made it through the interview, I'd take him in a heartbeat.

No one is doubting his on court production.
He fought with Gary Neal too.

Gary Neal was a bitch Buck also. Bucks just made a mistake giving him too much too soon. And obviously he doesn't want to get drug tested anymore.

Capela is raw as all hell. Pass on starting him and should or playing him. Should not throw in the towel because Dwight. IF Perkins or who the f**k ever can help win a playoff series or two I'll take it.
