Game 81 vs Charlotte Hornets
6pm start. Won't be on regular Root Sports ch 639, will be on channel 710 instead because of conflict with Astros game.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

Tied for first place in the AL West with only 155 more games to go!!!

We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

Sorry guys - I've been really busy with work & travel this past week.

they looked good but Hornets were missing Jefferson, Zeller, Kidd-Gilchrist, Stephenson, Mo Williams
glad Dwight was able to get rest but the offense seems to run better without him
Capella looked good. Hit 2 free throws. Hit a baby hook shot. Had an awesome reverse layup that took a lot of skill. He's showing he's not just a dunker.
Jones and Smith very active on boards and blocks.
Harden poor shooting night 7 of 20 from field and 1 for 8 on three pointers but hit a ton of free throws as usual.

Capela was really the only reason to watch against the Hornets D league team.

Re: Game 81 vs Charlotte Hornets
That was the kind of game I hope and pray to never attend in person. Both teams knew the outcome before tip-off and played accordingly. Joking, half-assing all over the place. (Harden was the worst offender, btw. His weak side defense reverted to 2011 for long stretches.) It's fine to watch at home, sure. But the fans who paid full pop retail to attend HAD to be pissed.
Then again, it's always pretty amazing to watch those three or four moments in a snooze game when Harden turns it on. Just enough. Like he's thinking "all right, lets go ahead and remind these guys who's who".
Wouldn't it be just peachy keen if the Rox had a real killer instinct? Hakeem and Jordan and Bird had it. They would straight up step on your face and then watch the 4th from the bench.
I bet Capela and McDaniels wish this team would do that. If they'd go ahead and curb stomp the bad teams, those 2 guys would get enough run to develop their (obviously raw) talents.
P.S. Troy Daniels looked like garbage. SO glad we cut him loose.

These are the exact games the NBA could cut out of the schedule.

Re: Game 81 vs Charlotte Hornets
Troy still has a chance to stick in the NBA. A solid offseason of work and some more experience will help him greatly.
I feel like he's one of those guys that shows up on a contender in a few years as a productive bench shooter, like a Danny Green.
