The Most Unrealistic Sports Movie Ever

I was thinking about this today. Sports movies have close finishes, underdogs winning regularly, stereotypes, etc.

I narrowed my list down.

Happy Gilmore - Terrible hockey player becomes a legitimate PGA contender with Apollo Creed's help in like three days.

Angels in the Outfield - Doc from "Back to the Future" is an angel who helps Don Jon's favorite baseball team win a pennant so his Dad will love him.

Celtic Pride - Celtic fans kidnap the opposing team's best player so they can hang another banner at the Garden. This was my pick because it ended with the Utah Jazz winning an NBA title, and we all know that's impossible.

...though it kinda hurts my heart to nominate such a great movie.

Love that movie. I still remember going to see it in theaters when it came out(and the second one too, which was rubbish). I agree a team like that would probably be nowhere near the postseason, but I thought the way they win at the end was somewhat realistic, and awesome. Plus, Ricky **** Vaughn!

Hmm, what about Caddyshack 2? It's amazing that movie actually exists.

Well, it did have this one scene I guess:

Got to hand it to Randy Quaid, he plays the same characters in both film and reality.

Billions of people believe in ghosts, angels, and convicted felons. What is it, like half a million, believe the Utah Jazz could ever win a championship. That's why Celtic Pride wins.

How dare you for all 3!!!!! Those are all classics

I never realized that Judd appatow wrote celtic Pride

I would say an unrealistic sports movie (I love the adam sandler one for some reason though) both the longest yard movies...brings up another sandler one that I love, which is rare post happy Gilmore, the waterboy there's no way that could happen

EDIT---I now understand your reasoning for hating celtic Pride...justifiable because I shouldn't ever like a movie that has the Jazz winning but it made me laugh so much and at that time I was 8 and just moved home from Thailand so I didn't understand how much I hate the Jazz yet

Knew how much I hated Stockton but I kinda liked malone (at the time) because my parents both graduated from la tech (they actually both thought he was an ass though just had school spirit and didn't realize he was a child rapist)
