Game 67: Rockets host the Grizzlies 7PM 3/14

Post#1 » by Mr. E » Mon Mar 14, 2016 7:46 pm

Rockets are back at home after a long road trip still in a tie with the Mavericks for the 7th seed in the West. Everyone looked exhausted by the end of that last game, so hopefully there was some rest yesterday.

The biggest news for this game is that JB Bickerstaff may be a game-time decision due to illness. If he cannot go tonight then Chris Finch will be making the calls for Houston.

Home debut for Beasley!

Go Rockets!

No sign of a three-pointer slump so far tonight.

It's ridiculous to call that a Flagrant 1 on Dwight. He is hit worse than that on a regular basis.

I realize I'm talking to myself here, but that was one of, if not the best first quarters I've seen from Houston this season. So much nicer than looking uphill at the opponent after 1.

I hope that someone out there is watching this. That was the most fun first half of the season.

Yeah, but think of all the times the Rockets played down to teams this year. Refreshing not to see that.

Beasley got cut! Did they say 5 stitches?

The Rockets needed a break like this. Good to see some guys get their minutes reduced and great to see some of the guys on the bench getting a lot of playing time out there.

This was a good night for Motiejunas.

Charlotte has been very good since late January. Third best win pct after SA and GSW before today's game, today they just laid an egg, we were also on an away back to back at the end of a road trip. Really not a bad loss by any means

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't scared we would play down and win by like five going into the game so I suppose you're right lol sad we didn't win by 50 though :(

I'm convinced Harrell is like lotto level talent. He's really good and has real potential. He can already defend both big positions and can switch onto everyone but the very quickest of point guards. If he developed at least a consistent mid range shot to spread the floor he will be a beast.

Great game to watch. I think our rotation for the playoffs is set

PG - Beverley/Terry
SG - Harden/Terry/McDaniels
SF - Ariza/Brewer
PF -D-Mo/Beasley
C - Howard/Capela

I like it. If D-Mo can produce like he was tonight over 24 minutes, I really like our chances of potentially making some noise in the playoffs. Beasley has been great and is a perfect gunner off the bench especially when we don't have a lot of playermaker subs; Terry, Brewer, and Capela can't really create their shot so he works perfectly with that crew.
