real talk...
this guy has destroyed now 3 teams he has been on, the bucks almost traded for him at the deadline and he would have ruined their core too...
lets just face the facts, this team is better without howard

Not a cancer at all but we are better on the court with him off of it. He's just not a good fit and not a great player anymore

Take a look at Clint's on/off numbers:
http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/c/capelca01/on-off/2016/Vs Dwight's:
http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/h/howardw01/on-off/2016/We are better offensively, defensively, and MUCH better on the boards with Clint on the floor than we are with Dwight. It's not even up for discussion anymore. I don't think Clint is better but we play better with Clint

Last season this team does not get to the WCF without Howard's contribution.
I like the guy. He seems to be someone who really does like being a part of the Houston community.
This season...I can't put the blame on any one player. This whole franchise is sick this season. I don't think that you have to worry about your nightmare of Dwight opting in. I do think that he's going to be looking for a change of scenery. I won't pretend to know how much animosity there may or may not be between players, coaches, etc; but I'm not going to single Dwight Howard out as a cancer for the Rockets when this entire lineup, coaching staff & front office does not seem to be doing well.

I just think it's funny that he wants to resign with the Rockets when he's not showing any effort, especially on the defensive end, in the recent games. To me, Dwight has been the biggest disappointment this season.

No one is showing effort on defense except Beverly. The attitude of the team is toxic. We can only speculate, but there's so many potential reasons. Howard being a baby. Harden being selfish. Bickerstaff letting Harden isoball every play. Frustration over the lack of accountability. It's probably a combination of all the reasons, but listen to the most recent Popovich speech in Europe.

What does he say is the most important? Team attitude. You have to have a strong foundation of mature, unselfish, team oriented players. His foundation is Manu, Parker and Duncan. New players will follow by leadership or they leave.
Houston's foundation is Harden & Howard. Two of the most selfish players in the league. It's no surprise that the team attitude turns toxic eventually.

how is Harden selfish, Harden is basically a european player with his style of play.. howard on the other hand is a chemistry killer every where he has gone
by the way stay on your own board, and stop trolling james harden... ( trust me he has enough haters)

Harden is a European player just because you saw an eurostep? James Harden ranks 6th among TEAMS in ISO plays. That's leading selfish play in the league. I don't even see how you can argue this if you watch Rocket games. Banned from Clutchfans and trolling here? What is this?

I think the ISOs are because he has to not because he wants to, of course he wants to ISO a good amount because it's what he's great at so why wouldn't he, but not near this much. He spends the beginning of games trying to move the ball and get others involved and we usually end up getting behind big like last night. Down 20 then Harden started ISOing a lot and we won. We are at our best when Harden ISOs because this team has so many bad offensive players that need their shots created for them. And it's not like JBB has some amazing system to get guys looks. Just looking at ISO numbers and saying someone is selfish is lazy imo

Michael Jordan the greatest to ever do it was an iso player.. Kobe was an iso player... Harden just happens to be an iso player... Harden averages over 7.4 assists a game,.... like i said stay on your own board, you know nothing about harden's game

The ISOs are entirely because he wants to. The whole, "the rest of the team sucks" so Harden ISOs is just scapegoating. It's not "bad offense" if players need their shots created for them. It's standard team basketball. Klay Thompson has most of his shots assisted, but nobody calls him bad on offense. Trevor Ariza had most of his shots assisted in Washington, which led to career high 3pt%. You call an ISO when there's an apparent advantage if the opponent switches on a screen. IE Center on Guard. Harden calls ISOs at the start of a possession. No real basketball coach will make that kind of play call every other play. You don't even need an amazing system or theory to get guys open looks. Basic pee-wee basketball camp strategy will work like pick and roll, baseline screen, give and go. Harden will sit at the top of the key while the rest of the team runs 4 on 5 team offense, which no surprise fails most of the time. The only time he tries on offense is on a ISOs.That's classic selfish basketball.

Ariza is terrible. He's shooting below 30% from three in March despite being spoon fed corner threes. Comparing him to Klay Thompson is ridiculous. Laughable. Just not a good argument. Ariza gets TONS of open looks from Harden ISO he just can't make anything. And what the hell do you think the Wizards did to get Ariza open threes. Either pick and rolls or wall ISO

No. The Wizards play system is not nearly as dead as Houston. The comparison is laughable. James Harden as a player has more individual ISO plays than the entire Wizards Team. (The Wizards are also 2nd from last in the league in ISO frequency). The teams are night and day. Klay Thompson would be just as terrible as Trevor Ariza if he came to Houston.
Ariza in his last year with the Wizards was the perfect example of how 3 & D players should play. We took that template and threw it in the trash. Base line screens, running back in transition, drive & kick. All pee wee basketball plays on how to get an open shot. We barely do any of that. John Wall was top 10 in the league in assists per 36 that year. Where did that go? Trevor Ariza in the CORNER. Ariza had almost every single corner 3 on an assist. Once you get a a guy consistently on a catch and shoot, it's easy to start
getting into a rhythm of making shots. Compare that to the sputtering engine offense of the Rockets where 25% of the time guys stare at Harden ISOs, it's a laughable comparison.

Also hilarious that you're talking about the rocked offense being broken when they are 8th best in the NBA despite everyone having a bad shooting season from three

Did you even watch the Pop video? Houston has a broken system. It's fools gold, much like Marcus Thornton. It's flashy enough to convince the casual and the ignorant fans that we can play. What's that 8th best offense getting you this season? Fighting to even get into the playoffs.
I bet you're just going to whine about Ariza being the scapegoat for the defense too and if Klay Thompson was here he could pick up the slack. The team attitude is toxic. It's led by selfish players and selfish players don't play defense. What good is Harden having a 35% usage rate with a 28% ISO play call when he's too tired to play defense? Which guy are you going to get in the league that can make up for 4 on 5 defensive plays?
