So you're telling me we are the 8th seed again

I'm very curious to see how this team will perform in the first round. If it will be the piss poor team we've saw all season or will they flip the magic switch.

Hope they make it. The Harden D-Mo pick and roll is working out very well.
We have much better depth this time around, if any big goes down we have Michael fricken' Beasley averaging like a million points PER36 and KJ who plays good defense and can catch alley-oops. No Terry/Prigioni PG rotation either, or zero D Terrence Jones.

It would be of epic, world stopping proportions to take down GSW in the first round but more likely just get swept and lose the draft pick. Then blow up team.

Hell, better late to the party than never. I could care less about the 12th overall pick in a weak draft class. Ingram, Dunn, Simmons, and Hield imo are the only true assets I see in this draft class.
Obviously, it's just one game against the much inferior Wolves, but the intensity last night by the Rockets was great. Hopefully this is something they can quickly build on. I don't think I have seen Dwight this dominant through an entire half. The ball movement was great and Ariza looked comfortable shooting the ball. Josh Smith had a pretty solid impact off the bench last night and I would like to see more of that. Beasley got shafted in the minutes, and I wonder if Bickerstaff will ever consider playing the two at some point, especially if they go with a small bench lineup.
I want to see the Warriors again, regardless of the historic season they are having. We basically have very similar rosters from last year. If we can see a similar effort as we had seen against the Clippers last year, we may be able to put up a decent fight against the Warriors. Better win this last game.

Yeah, I want the playoffs. I don't care what the result is, I just want the team in there.

What are the Vegas odds of Rockets upsetting Warriors?

I actually worry more when the odds are in the Rockets favor. I don't want to see Super-Caspi going off for 40 while the Rockets go on one of their cold spells.

I wanted to get the pick so I was on the fence about making the playoffs until I read this email a Jazz fan sent to the Kings, in an attempt to get to George Karl and convince him to play his starters:

Well I'd rather have the pick but giving the Warriors a fight could be fun as well.
Maybe Brewer will show up and swing the series...
Yeah, I'd rather have the pick since I think there are some nice prospects in the spot.

I'd like to win two home games and make it interesting. I don't want to see them quit.

So does this become the sticky playoff thread?

With this win Daryl Morey has never fielded a team with a below .500 record.
And a team with James Harden has never been below .500 or miss the playoffs

Eighth seed have upset #1 seeds twice before but I believe in both cases, they got handled pretty easily in the second round.
It's hard for David to hit goliath twice or three times in a row.
Doesn't sound like they'd have been better off missing the playoffs and getting a higher pick. Though I just saw the 30 for 30 on Orlando winning the lottery after Shaq's rookie year to end up with Penny Hardaway. They point it as some magical ping pong ball but when you think about the odds, it certainly makes you suspicious about the NBA rigging the lottery.
