Are they going to eventually put him in the rotation or just a trade asset right now?

I'm off the KJ train. There's gotta be a reason 3 different coaches nailed him to the bench

For a small chance, Corey Brewer is the 'decoy' trade asset, and KJ is going to take his minutes.

I mean, what Corey Brewer can do that KJ can't? Fast breaks? Better finish at the rim?

Goran wants to be a full time PG. He doesn't want to be a backup. With our new regime, he would not be a fit anymore. The ship has sailed for him on the Rockets. Rockets need a big. Most realistic is Noel....somebody to protect the rim.

Goran would be the starter and Beverley the backup.

No chance that this trade happen, first because Goran is not going to be trade and specially not for KJ Mcdaniels and Corey brewer lol. Nobody wants Brewer. Miami don't need bench players they need high picks or young talents.

There's no need for a starting level point guard. Harden is the point guard and Bev is the shooting guard.

If Beverley can be the shooting guard then why can't Dragic?

McDaniels IS a young talent. He's just not getting the minutes because Dekker is playing so well lately. He had a good preseason. llull could be interesting for them as well if they think they could convince him to go to Miami.

If Beverley can be the shooting guard then why can't Dragic?

1. He needs the ball to be effective, check out his last few seasons with Wade
2. He isn't nearly the shooter Bev is off the ball (his two good three point shooting seasons, like this season, were in situations where he was able to dominate the ball, his 2 highest seasons in usage rate)
3. He isn't nearly the defender Bev is

All bringing Dragic in would do is take the ball out of Harden's hands, which is the reason why the Rockets are good this year.
You just don't think Beverley is good, when he very much is. He's been fantastic this season and isn't where the upgrade is needed (although a backup point who doesn't need alot of minutes would help incase of injury). Rockets need wing depth and another big to help with Clint out.
Also the Heat probably wouldn't do it unless they want out of Dragic's deal desperately and no one else is interested

We should get Tim Frazier from Pelicans. He is a local kid if we are looking for someone when Bev and Gordon get hurt which has happened already. The other two players Rox should take a look at making a trade is Wilson Chandler or N Noel. Can't have all of them, but Rox should target one of these guys at least.

That kid can ball and is a good playmaker. It's really unfortunate that he's buried deep in the Pelicans bench. Dude definitely has value and I think it would take more than KJ to get him.
