Rockets Off-Season Priorities

What are the most important things that the Rockets need to address this long off-season?
1) Free Agency - should they go all-in on trying to bring in Gordon Hayward? If so then what would need to happen to make that cap room available?
2) Re-Sign players - do they just need to keep this band together?
I'm pretty sure that nothing is changing in terms of Harden, Morey & D'Antoni. Despite the poor ending to the season this was still a team who finished with the 3rd best record in the NBA. Of course, a lot of that was due to the incredibly strong start to the season. Can this current team grow and improve or do they need to make some major changes?

Houston clearly can not improve with this roaster. Being the third overall in the NBA is impressive as it is, but the Rockets aren't contenders. The cap space necessary to work in the market should be Anderson's, who's getting way too much money in my opinion. Find a way to trade him for someone like Melo or PG13 and then sign Millsap, Hayward or Ibaka in the FA.

For me:
1. Sign Paul Millsap
2. Retain Nene
3. Begin Paul George discussions - trade for him, if possible

We recently did a "10 Day Diary" for Daryl Morey and Sam Presti, and how we think the off-season could shake out for them:

What would it take to get DeAndre Jordan?

That makes no sense.
Is that what Morey had up his sleeve?

I hope not. That means Bev may be out the door

Morey being after Hayward should not come as a shock to anyone; but I just don't get the fit with Paul.

If Paul wants to come, you sign him. Worry about fit later, that kind of talent is rare

Get Chris Paul. Hayward doesn't fit on this team.

Is the harden as point guard era over?

We could use Hayward or Millsap way more than CP3

I don't think so. Harden is the quintessential D'Antoni PG.
If anything, I'm wondering if Paul would be Super-Beverley in the starting lineup, and then the primary ball handler with Gordon in order to give Harden way more rest than he got this past season.
I still want to know how much D'Andre Jordan would cost. Wouldn't that be crazy if the Rockets got both Paul & Jordan? It would be like two of the teams in the tier below the Warriors combined.

Ya...just saw that wiretap. And I hear the rumors about trying to acquire Flop3, and I guess I get it...but I don't have to like it.

Daryl Morey has been extended 4 more years.
I expect a super-extension for Harden to come early in the days of free agency.

nobody is untouchable except Harden... you should know better about Morey, he won't trade Bev without getting back good value
