..... Kevin Durant's name be legally changed to *Kevin Durant.
I actually like both he and the Warriors, but come on. This was weak sauce.

Re: I hereby propose.....
I don't really have much of an opinion on Durant or the Warriors or Superteams blah bluh bleh...but I've read a few comments about the current state of the NBA, how this postseason unfolded, etc...and I tend to side with the folks who have the "well, I thoroughly enjoyed watching my team this season, buuuut..." opinion.
To be fair though, I've felt that way for a while now so it's not really predicated on this particular season. I've generally just lost interest in the NBA overall in recent years and really only enjoy it when I can tune in to see the Rockets, and I very much enjoyed watching them this past season...minus that Game 5 OT/Game 6, of course.
Screw it. I support your proposal!
Then again, whilst typing this response, I missed Springer's Leadoff Dinger against the Rangers, and for that I shall never forgive you.
j/k, I forgive you, and tits, etc.

We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

I like KD, and the Warriors, and LeBron.
It's not even front-running, they're all just really fun to watch play basketball.
Still, this reflects my opinion:
My only problem with it all is that there was no drama in the outcome. Everyone involved chose the easiest possible route. Things moved from "the only way this team can lose is if the MVP gets injured" to "even if *one* MVP gets injured, this team should be the favorite to win, and anyone else winning is an outright miracle."
It's kinda like if 5 6'7" guys and five 10 year olds walked onto a court, and the 6'7" guys all joined one team and the 10 year olds all got stuck on the other. There's no skill, determination, will, luck, or anything else involved, only the neverending creep of inevitability, and who wants to watch that?
Yeah, I know it's two different arguments that aren't really tied together, but whatever.

Put 3 for 8 on 6 for 6's teams and you'd get 7 for 9.
Put 6 for 6 on 3 of 8's teams and you'd probably get 3 for 7.
Both great. LeBron slightly better, but on far worse teams over the course of his career, Miami and this year excepted. GSW just exploited some financial luck to get a $145m team signed for $107m.
Not exactly a fair fight.
To put it another way... if Jordan had got hurt in the 2nd round of the 96 playoffs after winning 72, then they lost in the Finals, then David Robinson had signed as a free agent, would anyone have had the same opinion of Jordan's legacy?
