I think we did better after the draft than during it.
Cam Oliver and LJ Peak are both going to see some playing time this year and may even get in the rotation. Both are well rounded and will make more than serviceable role players as rookies in the NBA. Both are sleepers that we can only dream about. Size and skill sets is there; I am hoping going undrafted pushes them to prove to the world how great they are. I also hope this will make them play with a swagger of a champion and harden their character.

Do you really see main roster playing time for them? I was under the impression that Cam Oliver was seen as a guy who they would develop in McAllen for at least a season.

Re: Undrafted players signed by the Rockets
Idk anything about Peak but I LOVED Cam Oliver going intk the draft and I was shocked he went undrafted (but happy). 6'8 with a 7'1 wingspan, NBA body, athletic guy who can block shots and throw down lobs, AND shot 38% on 5 threes per game. Some draft 'bloggers' had him late first round, such as Ode to Oden (also had Hartenstien ranked there) and JZ Mazlish had Oliver 18th and Hartenstien 34th

I am hoping we use a platoon / positionless method and they are both able to give us a different look from thier various skill sets. Let them both develop on the end of the bench the old school way. This is much needed on a nightly basis during the long season. IF Ariza is still here his PT needs to come way down for quality over quantity, IMO. I am hoping for 5 or so minutes a game each till they show they need more time. Goal should be to make the playoffs then peak with well rested players. Random thought Simmons was the 9th or 10th man on the Spurs' bench and he killed us because his skills are what was needed at the time. To answer your question, yes. Why not? The timing is the most important thing because we don't have time to waste within Harden's window.

In a perfect world, where the Rockets land CP3 and trade for PG or sign and trade for Milsap, they would probably have to play haha
