T-Mac 2010 Flashbacks

Post#1 » by Mr. E » Mon Jul 10, 2017 8:00 pm

Over the past several days I have been looking at threads on RealGM and comments on articles and I'm starting to get flashbacks to the 2010 McGrady trade watch.

In the lead up to that trade you had fans and "experts" proposing deals where Houston would give up all sorts of picks or assets; but in the end it was a rather fair, balanced trade.

I don't see any reality where guys like Gordon, Ariza or Capela would be considered in a Melo trade, but those names are desperately thrown around.

I don't think that the return for Melo at this time and this situation will make some fans happy.

Do you mean Carmelo is going to take more or less assets on our part?
We made out like bandits in that trade.

Jordan Hill was no Otis Thorpe, but he was passable. Martin was passable, if overpaid somewhat.
Landry, while it stung, was never as good after he got shot.
NO MORE DORSEY GORILLA DUNK, but you gotta take your knocks in life.

I'm hoping we don't get fleeced in a Melo deal.
Morey 2020.

Q:How are they experts when they're always wrong?
A:Ask a stock market analyst or your financial advisor
