Jazz gets 2 starters who shot 40% on three pointers and a first rounder from HOU. Lee, Anderson and Ingles would be deadly from 3 to make up for Rubio and Gobert having little range.

Rockets get Anthony without giving up Ariza or Gordon.

Favors had a bad year but still just 26. He and Porzingis could work well together or he could come off the bench. He's in a contract year so he should play well. Hood is 6'8" and could start at SF and he's only 24. Burks is a bad deal since he's always hurt but it's only 2 years and not too high salary like Anderson and is less than Lee's. Exum is a bust so far but could play well in the final year of his rookie deal.

So Knicks get 3 expiring deals + Burks. They do swap Lee's 3 year deal for Burks' cheaper 2 years. So this deal would be about cap flexibility if anything. Hood is the key piece for NY if they think he could break out and be their SF.

Edit: Knicks signed Michael Beasley so they would be over the 15 man roster so they'd have to figure out a side deal to get rid of O'Quinn or Thomas or try to buy out Noah. Or swap Exum for Bolomboy in the deal and waive Bolomboy (his deal next year is unguaranteed)

No way Jazz would agree to that. Favors, if healthy, is a borderline all star. Hood and Exum are in contract years and restricted next summer and Burks has been hurt for years, but as you said it's only 20 million over the next 2 years. Also Lee is also almost 32 and Hood and Exum are 24 and 22 respectively. I think my deal involving the Pistons is closer to a possibility, but NY might require a pick or 2. If I was the Pistons I would so the same deal if they got a couple picks and Baker instead of Ntilikina. Maybe one future first from Houston and a 2nd from NY.

That Knicks could never ever hope to get that kind of haul for Carmelo. Hood alone or Exum alone would be too much for him and his contract. Maybe Lee nets Exum but based on the Jazz take on him from Summer League I'd say no if I were them.

Why is anyone talking about Kuzminskas like he's any good when he seems to be subpar in just about every category?

I know nothing about him, but he wouldn't be a deal breaker. I don't even see him on the OP's depth chart so is he unguaranteed?
