Tonight we get our first look at the Harden/Paul Rockets team!

I made the mistake of tuning into BSPN for a few minutes. The OKC/Westbrook nuthugging is already in midseason form. Meanwhile, everyone questions if two high IQ, team-first guys will be able to play with one another.

I'm thinking that the Rockets will be OK. They were my pick to finish 2nd in the West this season, and the Melo trade to OKC did not change that. I still don't see that team finishing higher than #4.

I'm looking forward to seeing Capela and Zhou getting some time tonight, but I think that PJ is going to sit this one out.

Just a reminder, Rockets fans: feel free to talk about the team and the games however you want (within RealGM rules) while you are here; but be wary of trolls on some of the other forums who like nothing more than to get Rockets fans all riled up. They are not worth your time.

GO ROCKETS!!!

I expect Zhou to log heavy time in the valley but this could be a breakout year for Capela.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how D'Antoni deploys the 2nd unit since I expect that to be a strength again this year.
Plus I feel a whole lot better about Isaiah Taylor today than I did about Tyler Ennis at this time last year.

Should be exciting.

Postseason baseball and preseason basketball. I love this time of year!

Nice first opponent as well getting to see how we match up against WB/PG/Melo trio.

Oh, also:

I'm liking the defensive energy from the Rockets early in this game.

Two deadly passers who look to get their teammates involved...

However will this work?

Seeing one of them on the floor at all times is super exciting. Beard goes to the bench? Flop3 still on the floor. Flop3 goes to the bench? Beard is still out there.

Yes, oh yes indeed.

So, they'll call the "James Harden Foul" for other players, but not Harden?

Got it. Yao all over again.

I love seeing that kind of confidence from Capela.

OT, but that was a super long and fun first inning in the Bronx.

Man I love postseason baseball!

Note to self: remember to stock up on Valium before the Astros/Sawx series.

We don't play until Thursday, and it's an afternoon game which pisses me off. Hopefully I can sneak away and catch some of it, Verlander vs Sale should be a great one.

Anderson & Gordon looking to be in really good shape, both physically and their shots.
