I've ran the numbers on my salary sheet. You're ignoring cap holds for Ariza ($12M), Capela ($7M), Paul ($29M iirc). those numbers count against your cap until those guys sign a new deal whether that be with the Rockets or another team. They would have to dump Ryno, EG, let Ariza walk, trim all the fat from the roster, and have Paul take a discount just to offer Bron $25M.

Well Jackson can only spend a max of 45 days with the Rockets because he's on a two way deal, and that clock started yesterday with the beginning of Vipers camp, so he has 43 left, so it's a bit misleading to have him as the third PG. The rest of the season must be spent in the Valley.

Bobby Brown isn't on the team to play, he's a locker room presence that played a decent role in attracting CP3

Bobby Brown isn't the reason they cut Taylor though. They came out of preseason with 14. They cut him because they just didn't think he was worth keeping I suppose
