Looking at the Wiretap article about the possible deadline deal that would have seen a Clint Capela for DeAndre Jordan trade. It did not happen then, so my question to all of you is would you do that deal now?
Don't let the fact that Capela is my countryman sway your opinions.

Re: Capela for Jordan: would you?
My understanding is that we would have given up picks for a shorter rental of DeAndre, so I'm glad we kept Capela.

But does Clint have a giant Astros tattoo on his shoulder?
Technically Enes Kanter, who is playing fantasticlly for New York and will matchup against Clint on Wednesday is also your countryman since he was born in Zurich and lived there as a kid.
Harden is still a work-in-progress. He can score, but he can't help his teammate that much - Yao Ming

Capela is a far superior FT shooter while their very similar in defensive attributes except for maybe Jordan having a nod on rebounding so to me Capela > Jordan.

I think Capela and Jordan are extremely similar players and Clint is far younger and cheaper and we may need the additional assets around the deadline.. so no.

Re: Capela for Jordan: would you?
As has been said they are very similar in many ways with the biggest differences being:
DJ is bigger, stronger, more experienced and a more imposing rebounder
Capela is younger, cheaper, more offensively talented (including FTs) and obviously has more upside.
That being the case, I don't think the difference is big enough to justify the additional assets it would require to do such a deal.
Plus, given his rate of improvement, how long before Clint surpasses DeAndre anyway?

If Capela keeps playing like he has this season it's tougher, but I'd still probably do it. Jordan is really really good.

Would you pay Capela the max this off-season?
I think a team is going to offer that.

REALLY doubt it. Center market is flooded and no one has cap space.
