Anyone tired of the "x player for mvp" talk?

Post#1 » by Lazy Faizy » Thu Nov 30, 2017 12:25 am

Last year it was Westbrook. This year its Kyrie. Two of my fav players but imo Westbrook didn't deserve it last year and Kyrie sure as hell isn't the mvp so far this year. Harden has clearly been the better player but as usual he doesn't get the love or attention from the media.

Anyone else getting kinda tired of this? I know a championship is obviously the main goal for us but that doesn't mean Harden shouldn't be earning some individual accolades along the way.

Doesn't really bother me anymore. I've learned to tune out all the noise beyond just watching the Rockets when I can and enjoying the ride.

The Astros winning it all probably helps in that regard, I'm still high on that ride and everything now is just gravy.

However...it would be fantastic to see him win another MVP, except this time for real.

;)

^Yeah I try to block out the noise as much as possible but it can still be frustrating sometimes especially this year when Kyrie isn't even having a great season individually and the Celtics are winning mostly due to their defense and coaching.

The Astros winning definitely helped a lot too, at least the city has a recent major championship under their belt. Hopefully the Rockets can do something great this year and the Texans can bounce back next year (as well as the Packers :) ).

Harden will get his MVP someday

I definitely get tired of it. I don’t wanna hear talk about the MVP race until the end of January at least.

I saw Paul Pierce had Boogie Cousins as his current MVP leader

I like Westbrook as a player, but after the league awarded his cherry picking ways to averaging a triple double, I've stopped caring for the award. I also disagreed with Kobe Bryant's selection over Chris Paul in 2008, when the guy was awarded just because he was "due".

Don't care who wins it this year. I'd much rather see this team beat the damn Warriors over anything.

Paul Pierce just decided he was a boogie fan a while back. Now hes gotta keep pushing Boogies name so he looks smart.. But paul pierce is too slimy in the face to look smart.

You will not be winning any spelling or grammar competitions.

We will continue to be fans of Harden.

Jesus, I never thought of it that way....you’re completely right and the facts used to back up you’re arguments are undeniable

I, for one, will no longer be a fan of harden. Thank you skeletormelo for pointing out the error of my ways.

Hey, if you'll wait right there, I'll try to get myself enough belligerent stupidity worked up to respect the opinion of someone with the word "Melo" in his username.

If you plan on coming in here and trying to start trouble then just rethink that and go away. Your act is already quite tired.
