Good deal if Chriss lives up to his lottery potential.

I'm impressed.

And once again the Morey move is never the one you hear about (Sac, ATL, MIA), but the one that comes out of left field.

Don’t know much about Knight injuries
Wanted Chriss for awhile, he’s going to be backup center

Always the case
That’s why I wasn’t hype for James Johnson

Torn ACL for Knight. A pretty serious injury, especially for a guard like him.
I guess we'll see if that Phoenix Suns med staff has lived up to their reputation.
It's kind of a make or break year for Chriss.
If he can keep his cool and is willing to learn, he should benefit greatly from playing with the two best playmakers in the league who both have specialized in spoon-feeding athletic big men.

Yeah Morey seems to love operating in the shadows, using the smokescreen rumors as camouflage.
Then when the real deal is done he comes from behind the curtain looking like the cat that ate the canary.

The more I think about the trade, the more I don’t like it. Well all the deal Morey made I don’t like usually turn out better. We’ll see. Not like Ryno is helping us. We got lot of question marks next season. Beginning of the season will be pain. We got Melo, MCW, Knight, Chriss all try to prove themselves

I don't like it. I think Knight is done. His deal isn't really any better than Rynos, just a little cheaper. I think Chriss will look good here but I'd still much rather have Melton

I'm on the other end of the spectrum. I'm excited about this deal.
The Rockets went into the off-season with three clear imperatives:
1) Re-sign Chris Paul
2) Retain Clint Capela
3) Move Ryno's contract (if possible) without surrendering major assets
They accomplished all three, with the third one being the most stunning. After two summers of incessant chatter about how immovable Anderson's contract was and what assets it would take to entice a team to take hm, the Rockets end up moving him with only an unsigned 2nd round pick to grease the wheels.
In return they receive two young players, one coming off major injury and another entering his pivotal third season.
I don't expect a lot from Knight but not a lot is needed either. The Rockets have the best guard rotation in the NBA and Knight adds depth to that rotation. If he's even remotely healthy he's a clear upgrade over Brown, Weber, and Jackson who all spent time in that role last season.
I'm a little more optimistic about Chriss, although his reported attitude concerns cast a pall over his reputation right now.
He has the physical gifts, and if he is serious about his career, I trust CP3 and Harden to put him in position to be effective.
The Rockets also have a pretty strong locker room with a heavy vet presence. My hope is that will help as well.
Also, for however bad Anderson's contract was in actual value, it was even worse in reputation.
His actual value took a hit after he disappeared in the 2017 playoffs. He had an opportunity at redemption last season but he again faded down the stretch after a couple of injuries and losing his starting spot then he went from disappearing to being a net negative in the playoffs.
Then add that his perceived value took an even worse beating after two summers of nonstop rumors about just how untradable he had become. It became apparent that his contract needed to be moved sooner rather than later.

Suns fan here
I think you guys got the better end of the deal.
Knight isn't a known bust fully for another 2 years I"d say. After that time, sure he can be a bust. Has potential as a backup pg (supposedly his attitude is a lot better and is in great shape).
The prize of this trade for u is Chriss. Blake Griffin type potential was how he was touted, he's an athletic freak who can run the floor, block shots and cram down awesome dunks. Decent touch on his shot, but not the smartest bball player out there unfortunately.
If you get him to fulfill his potential, you'll have a piece to your team for years to come and be happy and have won the trade.
Ryan Anderson is steaming garbage I hate that the Suns took him and his bloated deal back, but I guess he'll make some shots.
DeAnthony Melton is the prized piece for the Suns, I really hope he can somehow be our pg of the future, as his defense will be needed next to Booker.
Rockets fans were pretty high on Melton ya from SL?

I think that there are some people out there who are legitimately upset that Houston did not have to give up a first round pick (much less multiple first round picks) to move Anderson.
Not surprised or shocked; but actually, legitimately angry.
It is glorious!

Should have traded Correa instead, he's a bum and needs to retire.
Oops, wrong forum. Sorry.
I think Chriss has potential to thrive here in this system, all he has to do is run the floor and he will get plenty of easy opportunities around the rim, block some shots, rebound, and not be a bitch.
Sounds simple enough I suppose.

I didn't know Melton was worth 2x 1st round picks.

I like this deal. Ryno was done. With Tucker and G.Money, we have plenty of slingers and we needed a young big man who can crash the boards and catch the ball well. Someone who can size up against Warriors' big.
We didn't give up too much, well except for Melton who's worth 2x 1st round picks.

Morey playing chess when everyone else is playing checkers right now.
Just you watch, I guarantee he flips one, or both of these guys into something more impactful.
