I actually think this is a solid move despite AB being a laughing stock over the past few years. Low risk, high reward. Morey is gambling left and right, and I don't fault him because this team needs a new narrative after all the improvements LAC and LAL have made and emerging as the favorites. I am still mourning over the loss of CP3 but we needed a change. I get it - for both financial, entertainment, media narrative purposes.
It's championship or bust, but we'll have a bit of fun while at it.
