Atlanta Receives: Clint Capela, Nene
Denver Receives: Keita Bates-Diop, Gerald Green, Shabazz Napier, Noah Vonleh, Houston's 2020 first-round pick
Houston Receives: Jordan Bell, Robert Covington, Golden State's 2024 second-round pick (via Atlanta)
Minnesota Receives: Malik Beasley, Juan Hernangomez, Evan Turner, Jarred Vanderbilt, Brooklyn's 2020 first-round pick (lottery protected; via Atlanta)
So we give up Capela, Nene, Green, 1st rounder for Covington, Bell and a 2nd round pick. Feels like a bit of an overpay for Covington imo. I'm surprised that we had to give up a 1st rounder instead of acquiring at least a 2nd rounder. Thoughts?
Thoughts on the Covington - Capela 4-way deal?

How much of this trade was about basketball vs. getting under the luxury tax?
Rockets hoping to outscore opponents, shoot the lights out from distance?
Be curious about the on/off numbers for Capella, especially defensively. I also think an elite rim runner boosted Harden's production too, because when he penetrates, the defender has to stay home to guard against the lobs.
But supposedly Rockets were talking to some EC teams about a center trade.

Assuming they get a big I like this a lot. Capela has been a very good big, but ultimately its a more replaceable position. Don't think this was really tax motivated, though I do think the tax is something Fertitta won't cross and it hurts the team. Without another big....don't like it so much personally.

There go our last 1st round drafted by Rockets. Do we even need pick? We don't give them time to develop anyway.
