[funny]Detroit News : McGrady wants to be traded....

I think some of you have already seen it. I don't even know if that's worth of postin' here but ok...
Half-hearted?
The topic of Tracy McGrady came up in the Pistons' locker room before a game last week. McGrady is now injured and unhappy in Houston. Reports there say he has told friends he wants to be traded -- again.
One player, who shall remain nameless, joked that McGrady was becoming more and more like his cousin, Vince Carter. "They should call Tracy, 'half-man, half a season,'" the player cracked.
Well another dumb article for me. I'm sure Tracy didn't say anything like this.
You remember. Last time they posted an article about McGrady on Chron. We was unhappy because he couldn't play. He said the team has played a lot better and he was sad cause we would play a lot better with him. So what, was that false? He just wants to play. He sees a lot of improvement, he sees how good the team is.
So what, it just means he wants to play, the team is good without him, it can be only better with him. He'll be ready, he'll be hungry,
Fu*k all those stupid articles, it will be Rockets time, Rockets with McGrady.

Agree. The same thing was with Kobe. McGrady just needs to come back soon (Minnesotta on Friday) and shup 'em up

We need to get Tracy to play some team ball. No more isolation plays and no more contested 22 foot jumper. If we can get Tmac to buy into the system, i have big hopes for this team.

T-Mac -vs- Wade
04-05: 78, 77
05-06: 47, 75
06-07: 71, 51
07-08: 25, 26
pretty similar numbers of games played
why nobody talk about Wade?
is it because he won a champ?

I don't know about other people but the only reason T-Mac pisses me off more than Wade (other than T-Mac being on the team I follow) is that Wade trains harder and fights through injuries more often. T-Mac completely lets himself go every off-season and works himself back into shape during the season, and that undeniably affects his fragility on the court.
Wade also is a better player and plays a much more aggressive game overall so you'd expect him to sit out more games than T-Mac, but he doesn't.

The thing about that is that Tmac likes it....both Carter and McGrady are like that, they want you to talk **** until both will shut you up and prove you wrong....I hope thats going to happen as the Rockets have a very easy schedule coming up, and finally are playing the way the offensive system is set up.

i love both T-Mac and VC
the problem is people keep attacking them because they don't have success in the playoffs
look around there are plenty of them out there
Jermaine O'Neal, Baron Davis, Ray Allen, etc all are once labelled as superstar earning max money
but people just keep attacking T-Mac and VC
Garnett only had one success season and that's he's MVP year

I guess it's because people expect more from mcgrady, he is definitely much better player than ray allen or CARMELO ANTHONY, and probably better than baron or J.O.
about this stuff i don't believe it, he knows he have a chance of do something serious at the rockets, be traded to a worst team where he is the only all-star player is not what he wants.

That's not the (main) reason why people dislike them. KG is a good examle, he only once went deep in the PO's but he was always liked because he brought it every night, he had heart and drive and passion for the game and winning.
Of course that is setting the bar high but when you have that kind of talent that's how fans see it.

Besides maggatte, no other prieter player punisshes he's body like wade. he attacks the basket with no fear. so the amount of games he misses are realtively low considering the punishment he recives.
BTW, a healthy mcgrady>wade. tracy before hes elbow injury was avge 29-5-5 on almost 47% shooting.

It was for like 7-9 games though. Wade is definitely a better player IMO, better more efficient scorer, better play-maker/passer and IMO the best closer in the NBA.

You're right. There's so many other all-stars in this league that produce worse than Vince and T-Mac yet people continually bash the two cousins. Everybody says these two don't care about basketball, they could be so much better. Yet I sit there and question how someone can really say that they don't care about basketball and just produce off their "natural talent."
Sure both T-Mac and Vince are extremely naturally talented but these guys have both put in a lot of work into their games which is why they've become as good as they are. The thing that people don't understand is that there's many guys out there as athletic and with similar body frames as Vince and T-Mac like Gerald Green, James White and whoever else. But the reason Vince and T-Mac are successful compared to those guys is because (no matter what people say) they did put in the time and effort to become all-stars/superstars. Not everything they do is off natural abilities and sometimes, actually a lot of the times I believe these two are short-changed when it comes to the work they put into their games.

players that got the talent but don't care about basketball --> Eddie Griffin, Darius Miles, just to name a few

There is noway wade a better playmaker. tracy is widely regarded as the 2nd best playmaker in the game( magic johonson, gorge karl, kenny smith, van gundy, hubby brown all said it as well)
Wade is certianly a better finsher around the rim. hes probaly the best in the league, but tracy is a better shooter, passer, playmaker and defensive player when he wants to be.
had he not got that elbow injury, we would be talking anout how great of a season tracy is having. he was playing awesom.
