11. Tracy McGrady
After the Rockets recently won seven of 11 games with McGrady on the shelf with a knee injury, some wondered if the Rockets might be better off without him. "I don't know if he's completely sold on everything that's going on with the team, but he's always been known as a little bit of a front-runner to begin with," a scout said. Though Houston now seems to be adapting to coach Rick Adelman's free-flowing, up-tempo offense, McGrady, to some, still appears to be yearning for the days when former Houston coach Jeff Van Gundy handed him the ball and told him to direct the offense.

so what about going 4-0 with him? beating 2 good teams in spurs and blazers, and showing the ability to close out games?

these stuff were unsubstantiated. tmac was hurting, we were struggling, and they needed something to write about.
as the team has shown, our ability to close out games live and die on tmac. he was on the floor the ENTIRE 4th quarter for the 2nd straight game.

A couple things to learn about media:
- There are lazy guys in it same as everywhere else. If a storyline is already half written, they're going to take that easy route.
- They're beholden to editors and stockholders, whose jobs entail: making money. As such, it's not uncommon to try and grab headlines. This is more pronounced in "national" publications (since with intarweb even chron is now technically global)
Also, we aren't trading Mac right now. That guy was just talking out his arse.
