should be a good game. i still like the idea of tmac coming off the bench. keep playing our big 3 (scola, brooks, landry). i think millsap and landry are almost the same player. should be interesting to see them match up. itll be close, but in the end...

rockets 99
jazz 93

this is gonna be a tough game, everyone know utah is a much better team than their record indicates, they are one of many teams that is ahead of us..so we have to play really hard to beat these guys

Ugh... Pick and roll with a kick out jump shot! one of two weaknesses of Yao Ming, Fronting Defense being the first and most egregious. I see Carl and Luis logging big minutes to counter act that.. our guards have to help Yao out though they cant keep running into the pick! fight over/under it so he doesn't have to help as much guarding the driving guard

Utah has won nine of their last eleven games and Boozer is on a roll. Whether he's on a role or not he always kills us, the guy never seems to miss that mid-ranger. They could very well end up being the division winners after getting off to the slow start.

This is a must win game, we are at home, they are 7-15 on the road, and we have to take care of business. No excuses, this now is the biggest game of the season. We have to win at least 2 of the 3 games in this stretch. We got the first and HAVE to win this one.

Big game for the Rockets to get back into the playoff picture. We've seen these guys enough. We can beat them.

Big game for Yao personally; he has to show he can defeat Okur's defense and contain Boozer i.e. not be Utah's b*tch this time. McGrady's already gotten that taken care of with his 47 point game.

Tmacformvp, calling every game "the most important game of the season" is kind of dumb. I'd prefer to wait until March to put such a label on a game.

The only thing that concerns me about Utah is Okur's sudden defensive savvy when Yao Ming is in the game.

We should win this game as the Jazz are notoriously bad on the road but I'd be more confident if we were better at home. These past few years the effort on our home court just doesn't seem to be there unlike when we're on the road.

I think Landry can have another good game but Brooks might not get very much burn as Deron is a big guard. I wonder if we're going to see any zone as it has proven to be very effective vs Utah.

Rockets fans,

Do you folks have a game plan to defend against the Jazz pick-n-roll?

Do you folks have a game plan for Yao to defend the smaller, quicker Boozer?

Yeah, I'm over exaggerating the situation haha (though I haven't said it for every game, just the last one and this one), but this is seriously a game we have to win, playing a team we need to catch up with at home when the opponent is only 7-15 on the road. These are the type of games playoffs teams win.

I don't know how true of statement this is. With us, our record is what it is because we've had injuries, struggling to adjust to a new offense etc. etc. Their record is what it is because, like other have said, their atrocious on the road.

Extremely important game for us in terms of playoff contention and confidence. This is a tough game for us, especially for Yao. If he continues to guard Boozer one on one, i think i'm going to puke. Utah is one of the toughest team for us match up wise. I know Boozer and D-will are going to have huge numbers, but if Tmac and Yao can match them, we might be able to pull this one off. IMO, i see us losing this one.

In the few Jazz games I've seen this season something which became obvious is that Boozer absolutely blows on defense. Didn't notice it much during the series last year 'cause he basically didn't have to guard anyone. I'd like to see a few plays run for Scola if they ever get matched up - make him work at both ends, etc, etc.

Yao guarding Boozer just won't work - we've all seen it too many times to think it will. It's like Yao's outstretched arm is the perfect height for Boozer's J to go over. I'd rather he guard Okur, even if it means him hanging out on the perimeter and let a more mobile defender take Boozer. Either that or play a zone.

big defensive effort required from Rafer. Hopefully he's up to it.

Go Rockets!

Zone , we didn't play much zone this season if at all so we probably not very good at it , but I would really like us to try some zone.
The pick n roll is much less effective against zone.
They don't have many shooters , Korver and Okur can shoot it , Deron not so good from 3 but good from mid range like Harpring , and Kirielnko and Brewer and Hart aren't great shooters.
Really important game like every game we have left , we got ourselves into this bad position.
I really hope we can win both games , we are at home , we don't have the best crowd but in important games it's not bad , we need to take care of business.

Huh, finally Utah's game. We all know how good Utah can be. They are simply perfect but this yar at home - we did beat them at home. But on the road, well their record doesn't look good. We have been playin' well. We were better than Spurs, Blazers on this winnin' streak. You know, after last game's defense which I think was phenomenal I belive we can beat them, really. But also, we need to add some offense to that, we need to make shoots, stay agressive and get to the ft line enough cause I think it's key.

BTW hahahahahahahah, it's just so funny.

"I really feel a lot of guys are not comfortable playing in this arena," McGrady said. "I hear guys saying things about how they're not comfortable playing in the arena, how it's not a good shooting arena for whatever reason.

"I feel the same way. I really feel the same way. It's not just our guys. It's guys around the league. They hate our arena. Who was the last player to score 40 in our arena?"

This season, that would be no one. Allen Iverson is the only Rockets opponent to reach 30 in Toyota Center.

Well, I've never liked Toyota Center either. Maybe that new design is better but I still don't like Toyota Center, and hell I don't know why.

But come on T-Mac, it was funny. Just play. I don't think there is a big difference between Toyota Center and other courts. Just focus and play.
