with scola starting tonight against the warriors and landry backing him up, do you think we have seen the last of hayes getting PT for the rockets?

I'd think we'd still see him depending on match-ups (like Boozer yesterday or other elite PF's) but on the most part I think Scola and Landry seem to have taken his place in the rotation rightfully so.

He will start the next game.

We ran tonight and switched it up to make the Warriors system, we will get back to Houston ball.

i find a good idea to not play him vs a team like the warriors, plus with no tmac we need more people to score, all 3 pf's can play minutes, our problem is at the PG, alston is too inconsistent.

The question is who are we going to sign to replace Hayes?

Like TMAC mentioned earlier, we switched our rotation due to matchups and Adelman did a good job recognizing that by starting Scola.
If we cut him, we'll be short of a PF/C. Unless if we get a decent backup in to replace him, there's no reason to cut Hayes.

We're not going to cut Hayes. He's worth the roster spot for specific defensive situations.

But it's nice to see adjustments to the starting lineup based on the opponent. That's something JVG never would do. I've said it before that I don't see any reason Hayes should be starting. He's a defensive specialist who does not need to get into any sort of rhythm and should be a sub for specific defensive match-ups (i.e. for Yao on end of game defensive situations).

I think the OP was saying the last of Hayes getting PT, not getting cut. And I agree, I think Scola should start with Hayes and Landry splitting the backup minutes depending on matchups.

i personally think the reason Hayes is not playing tonight is because of matchup
(look like Adelman is doing adjustment game to game now instead of giving consistent minute to the regular rotation players)
with Hayes on the floor
the Warriors can double team Yao more easily
at least with Scola and Landry they need to pay attention to them
they tried to cheat with Novak but he knocked down 2 shots in a row

matchup is the real issue,

he'll be back soon tho and getting some playing time

this sunday I watched the lakers playing against cleveland I think, Gundy was throwing jokes left and right, they were discussing our conference and how things change quick....at one moment Gundy says "I see the rockets and utah in the playoffs...the rockets have great talent"

I mean duh, dumbass, if you were a bit more openminded and let the guys play we would have been in the finals already

Man, we had NO talent last year and were injured the year before. Bad luck, rough times righting the cap situation, we were gonna need some cards. The only year you can say that for is 2005. That was a bad luck year, and looked riggedly bad at times, same as Wade's run.
