Houston Chronicle -
With his season all but over, Rockets' guard Steve Francis says he plans on being back in Houston next season, the Houston Chronicle is reporting.

"I definitely plan on coming back," Francis said. "Coach (Rick Adelman) and the owner (Leslie Alexander) and I had conversations."

That is great news for the Rockets. I knew Steve wouldn't leave this team. Houston is his home and that's where he will end his career.

It's not that great, unless he is actually able to contribute next season.

Francis did only one good thing this year: spin on Steve Nash.

Well at least he seems determined because you know he's going to pick up his player option anyway.

We need to trade him in a package for Mike Miller.

We will not get Mike Miller. I am telling you that right now, I don't think that the Rockets are the team that will end up with Miller.

Of course Francis will be back in Houston next season. He'd be foolish to think that another team would offer him a contract at this point in his career.

Like I said in the offseason, you know your career is in trouble when Isaiah-run New York trades you to rebuilding Portland for Zach "I Only Like Donuts Because They Distract the Cops So I can Run More Slowly" Randolph, only to have Portland eat your salary for a relatively small tax break and excised roster spot. (doesn't say much for Zach either) The Knicks even kept The Best point Guard In The NBA over him, I mean.... ouch

We should keep a "Best of" list somewhere of all the guys who claimed, to the amusement of others, to be the best at their position / job.

For example:

1. Marbury - best PG (you said this one)
2. Dampier - best center in the west
3. jove9 - best poster on Real Gm
4. Damon Jones - best shooter in the league
