Hi Rockets Fan,
We are looking to deal Vince Carter, and go young in rebuilding mode .
We already traded Jason Kidd.
We are looking for young talent and get ready to move to Brooklyn New York with a brand new stadium in couple of years.
What would you give up for Vince ? Consdering Vince can create his own shots and a "great" play maker !!!
He played well with T-MAC his cousin back in Raptor Uniform !!!
You guys lack scoring....and collapse during playoff crunch time.
Vince would solve that.
But what would you give up ?

What about Aaron Brooks? i think it's the best the rockets can give, because if the nets rebuild don't need players like shane battier or bonzi wells.

We would love to have Shane Battier , he is still young and healthy.
I would love to have Aaron Brooke , Shane /Bonzi... + picks.
How old is Shane Battier ? Remember our GM Rod Thorn need a solid young playoff team by 2010 in new location with LOTS of ticket sales in Brooklyn New York in a brand new stadium.

Batts is 29. Tell you what, we'll cut you a bargain. Mike James and Steve Novak for Vince.

We aren't going to get Carter. We would have to give up too much and our chemistry is very strong in this point of the season. If we were to trade it would have to be someone big that equals Carter's contract, which means it would be T-Mac. Morey has already said he will not be dealing neither T-Mac nor Yao. I doubt we give up our depth for a player in Carter. We don't need it, and I think he will probably go to a bad team unless his agent specifies otherwise (kind of like Jason Kidd).

they already have harris and williams, so there is no need for them to get brooks

I love Carter, but his deal is MASSIVE, and he has the same offensive inconsitencies as Tmac: Falls in love with his jumpshot, doesn't drive enough.
He's lost a lot of his freakish athleticism, and his defense has never been very good.
I think we hurt ourselves if we give up Battier for Vince. Vince is clearly a better player, but Battier is a better fit for this team.

Vince is a playmaker , I think a much better play maker than T-MAC.
They would make Yao a "MONSTER" by commanding double team and pass to Yao for Dunk.
By giving up Shane Battier, you get start
1. Rafer
2. T-MAC
3. Carter
4. Chuck Hayes /Louis Scola
5. Yao/Scola
You guys are not missing much on Battier cos Chuck Hayes has similar skills as Shane Battier. You guys won't have problem scoring anymore.

Not really...
Carter and McGrady on the same team will be disasterous.

First of all, Vince is nowhere near Tmac when it comes to play making. Those two have a very similar skill set(likes to settle for jumpshot, lazy on D, good playmaker, athletic freak, inury prone), but tmac is just so much better than his cousin at virtually every facets of the game. With Tmac on this team, Carter will be just redundant. We'll much rather keep Battier, who just happens to be a superior defender with a much friendlier contract.
Besides, we're currently on a 9 game winning streak. Why would we want to mess with the chemistry and get another person who needs the ball in his hand to be effective? No to Carter but Artest on the other hand....

Battier is a perimeter defender, Chuck guards the interior.
Battier is 6'9, Chuck is maybe 6'6.
Battier can shoot the 3, Chuck can't even make free throws.

the only thing we could offer for carter would be mike james, kirk snyder (expiring), luther head , steve francis (expiring) and first round picks.
if new jersey is desperate to unload him, they can take that . but i doubt theyd get rid of him for nothing

NO WAY, why would NETS get T-MAC to who plays 2/3 of a season with big contracts.
We want young talent and draft picks.

We want players who are tough and likes to drive to the basket.

what if we gave them a package of:
James/Snyder/Francis/Wells/Head/1st+cash
for Carter/M.Williams
Wells/Snyder would be expiring
the cash would buy out the final yr for Francis
Head is a good young shooter
Mike James is....decent?
the 1st should be decent as well
and we would start
Rafer
Carter
McGrady
Scola
Yao
Battier of the bench!
