Rumor: Mike James + Bonzi to New Orleans
Sources have told ESPN.com that the Hornets and Houston Rockets were in serious discussions Wednesday night on a multi-player deal that would send Mike James and Bonzi Wells to New Orleans for Bobby Jackson and one or two other players.

Yah not sure if it would work salary wise but Rasual would defiantly be the extra piece I believe.. He almost got traded here to Miami a few weeks ago.. Trade does not look great from Houston's end but have yet to really watch them this year so can't comment but didn't Bobby Jackson play great basketball under Adelman?
What do you think of a similar trade with Miami but for cap purposes moving Bonzi and James for Jason Williams or something to that extent?

But seriously if the filler is Butler and a pick, it's not too bad. He'd provide some more shooting than Bonzi and Jackson remember was the best player off the bench in the NBA under Adelman (though he's MUCH older now). I'd really have mixed feelings on the trade, but right now on paper that's definitely a better deal for New Orleans who happens to be our division rivals.........

I think this deal is only made if there is another deal imminent. (sp?)
Im pulling for the Mike Miller trade, due to the fact that Miller is a great player and would be great in our system, maybe not as good as Artest but some of the intangibles, like chemistry and the fact he is locked up for a few years contrary to Artest 1/2 season rental

Has anyone else thought that maybe Jackson is being targeted to be used in another trade? Like for Miller or Artest? We have a couple of small expirings, and James' relatively large and long 3 yr deal with a player option. If we get Jackson's 2 year deal, and package it with expirings like Snyder and maybe a pick, that might be enough to get MM or Artest.
Or worst case, he becomes a large expiring for us next year, to be used at the trade deadline if need be.
