I think Rockets should give this guy a chance, like a 10 days contract or something like that. He remind me alot of Bonzi Wells, play tough, get rebounds as a undersized forward and occasionally make some mid range shots. However, his attitude might be the problem tho.

even the clippers didn't want him. What makes you think we want him? He couldn't even break to the clippers lineup. Do you know where clippers are at?

Hmmm. Now that I think about it, it's been a while since one of our players has been arrested for beating his wife. Maybe we SHOULD look into Patterson...

Patterson is actually a real good replacement for Bonzi.

He's the type of veteran, tough swing we need from the bench and despite his off-court problems, he'd be a great idea. He's not as good of a scorer, or rebounder as Bonzi, but he's a better defender and certainly a player that could play in our rotation.

Magloire could be a good backup for Yao. I wouldn't be against that, if he signed for the minimum

I'd like to have him on this team, he is aggressive, knows how to play defense, and can give you some inside points.

Patterson would be a decent addition IMO. He plays very good defense and he plays hard. He can post up, slash to the basket(and actually make the basket instead of constantly missing layups/dunks).

He played well for the Bucks last year and would be a pretty good replacement for Bonzi. Plus he brings experience. It couldn't hurt trying to get him I suppose.

No thanks on Magloire though.
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

What? First of all, Ruben Patterson is old, he is not the same as Bonzi on the offensive end. He is not a great defensive player, nor is he a mismatch for almost every team.

Didn't you know? He's the "Kobe-stopper."

All jokes aside, he really is not a player like Bonzi Wells.

I agree 100%.

Ruben in so no Artest, but he would also bring some much needed toughness to this Rockets team.

You're right. It's going to be tough to replace a 6'5 power guard.

I've really been impressed with Bonzi this year and was extremely disappointed with the trade. At any rate, as far as this thread is concerned, Patterson is no Bonzi. The only things they have in common are that they both have had off the court issues and both played for the same Jail Blazers team. Their games are totally different.

Nonetheless, if we can't get Barry and the other alternative is a bucket of crap, I guess I'll take Patterson.
