That minor trade has been paying off a hell of a lot longer than it should have.

Fact: Mutombo is the only Rocket who has played with the Yao+T-Mac tandem all 4 years. And is still effective.

Moutombo is the 8th wonder of the world. 41 and still avge 9 boards 4 blocks in a mere 20 minutes per game in he's last two starts. you couldnt trade for a better defensive center even if you tried.

Were truly blessed with great centers. sampson, olajuwon, yao, moutombo....

The Bulls also got Mike Wilks & Adrian Griffin

Wilks was a sign & trade and reports in Chicago were that Houston would pay Wilks' salary. it was a sign & trade, 3 year deal with first year guaranteed. There was a chance that Wilks would make Bulls, but then-rookie Duhon out played him in camp & Wilks was cut

Griffin & Piatkowski played out their contract & Bulls later brought Griffin back for a second time. He was just traded to Seattle as part of Wallace deal
The gem cannot be polished without friction, nor man perfected without trials.

That deal was a mistake, we could use Pike's shooting right about now.

Then trade for him. He is probably available for a pair of used sneakers.

This is a horrible trade. You know Pike once was a superstar in Clippersland.
