i had a dream we traded him for charlie villanueva! i was so sad :(
i dont get it tho, why didnt we sign him to one of them longer rookie contracts. like luther head's 3 years plus a team option for a fourth. the more i see him play, the more expensive i see him becoming

Luther and Aaron were first round picks, so they had guaranteed money. Carl Landry was a second round pick, so he didn't have any guaranteed money. We gave him a very small contract because we weren't sure if he was even going to make the team, let alone blossom in to the player he is today.

Damn some of those are awesome. The one where he blocks Duncan is goaltending though.

Maybe we should draft Marcus Landry with our first rounder this year.
He would make a good replacement for Shane (who turns 30 in Sept) in a few years. He's 6'7" and 222lbs.

Would that help keep big brother Carl in a rockets uni?

Don't think he'll make it unless he makes a big push over the final 24 games. hopefully a 2nd teamer

First team
Durant
Horford
Scola
Moon
Thornton

Second team
Yi Jianlian
JC Navarro
Rodney Stuckey
Mike Conley. Jr
Carl Landry? Noah? Sean Williams?

they should put how much of an impact they have into consideration. then they'd both make the first, i think[?] but then again we're always hated on so theyd prolly get snubbed, lol

Hey Jonathan,

Do you have any info on Carl Landry's contract situation? A lot of Rocket fans are worried about re-signing him in the off-season. But I think that he should have a team option on his contract, which is a pretty standard clause for a rookie deal, so the question of re-signing would get pushed to next summer. Can you shed light on this possibility? Thanks.

(I've answered this many times. He will be a restricted free agent this off-season The Rockets have every intention of matching any offer he is likely to get. -- Jonathan)

Woot!

Wow! I love how he took the rebound away from Duncan and stuffed it in his face!

does this mean he's going to get paid more than most first round 2nd year rookies if he gets the midlevel?

Landry's stock continues to rise.

Discussing a hypothetical redo of the draft ...

That brings us to Chicago at No. 9. Joakim Noah's been OK, but he's an energy/intangibles guy and they already have plenty of those. You know what, Carl Landry? I think you go right here. The Bulls need a true power forward and you have a higher ceiling than Noah does.

yowza. Lotta love from someone I bet hasn't even seen Landry play.

Q: Do you have any idea why me and every other starter on my team feels nauseous? We're lethargic, we can't sleep, we're having trouble peeing and we're worried something's seriously wrong with us. The team was so concerned that they checked our locker room for mold and it came up negative. We all received complete physicals and we're fine. What's wrong with us?
--C. Paul, New Orleans

SG: Don't worry, these are common reactions after Bonzi Wells becomes your teammate. I wouldn't say you're fine, but it's definitely treatable. My advice would be to drink plenty of water, get plenty of sleep, try not to interact with him and, if possible, don't high-five him, touch him or even accidentally brush against him.
