Hi. In a couple of days i'll be travelling to Houston for my holiday. And while i'm there i want to drop by a basketballstore to buy some stuff. Does anybody know about a good store in the Houston(downtown) area?

haha, see what you mean.
Just looking for at store thats got as much basketball stuff as possible for the lowest prices as possible... I'm from Norway, and there is not a single place to purchase basketball stuff.
Doesnt matter if its footlocker or whatever, as long as it has a good selection of basketball stuff, and is near the toyota center..
As this will be my first time in Houston: Is there something in particular that i should see/experince while i'm there?
Thanks

You should go to the Johnson Space Center. It's a bit far from the Toyota Center, but worth the trip... if you like space.
To everyone else: Is there still a Rockets Shop in the Houston area? When I moved out of HOU in the late 90s, it was in Memorial City Mall, but it closed. Is it somewhere else now? Maybe that's a place that Snappern could visit.

Memorial City Mall got re-done (and it's actually very nice now), but I'm almost positive the Rockets shop is gone.
You can find a Foot Locker, Athletes Foot, or Champs in probably just about any mall. As for attractions, I'd recommend the Galleria. I've never been too crazy about it, but I'm sure a tourist would love it.

A google search of "Rockets Shop" gave me this address:
http://www.rocketsshop.com/rockets/
Retail Distribution Center - 1510 Polk Street Houston, TX 77002
Anyone know if this is what we're talking about?

Yeah, every team has its own shop inside the basketball arena.
Generally the items from those shops are slightly cheaper than the iteams of NBAstore.com .

Yes, you should definitely go to the Galleria (mall) and just around the Galleria area in general.. Rice Village is very nice as well.. Hermann Park, Imax, etc etc are all good tourist attractions in Houston (I know I'm forgetting some...)

You might as well go to Space Center Houston. I can only imagine the deals this guy is going to get with the dollar in free fall like it is.
