Excellent move...
He's a great rebounder and furthermore he's got size.

Here's the entire article:

CHRON wrote:The Rockets are expected to sign free-agent center Justin Williams to a 10-day contract to add front-court depth after the injury to Yao Ming.

Guard/forward Bobby Jones' 10-day contract ends after today's game in Dallas.

Williams, a former Sacramento King, is due in Houston tonight, in time to be on the roster before the Rockets play the Hornets on Saturday night.

"The Rockets are definitely interested in Justin," Williams' agent, Byron Irvin, said. "We'll see what happens in the next few days.

"He has a couple teams interested in him. We like the Rockets. He likes the Rockets. They've liked Justin in the past. They brought him in last year and have been watching him the past year or so. They have followed his progress."

Williams, 6-10, 240, is considered a prolific rebounder and had 12 in 23 minutes against the Rockets last month. In 48 career games, he has averaged 3.4 points and 3.4 rebounds.

"He's an energy, athletic, shot-blocking kind of guy," Irvin said. "He will learn from someone like Dikembe (Mutombo). He is like a shorter Dikembe."

A great pickup by the Rockets. You guys will LOVE Williams in Houston...This is one of the few brainfarts that Petrie has made. We waived Lue thus creating a open roster. So, we should have pick up Williams but eh...there is the whole salary issue but yeah... I was high on Williams and still is...A great rebounder/shot blocker... *sighs*

He is an active and athletic PF/C that has the potential to be a defense anchor to some extent...i.e. Ben Wallace...

should have signed him in the first place, he hasn't played a game in almost a month so hopefully he's stayed in shape

Utah Jazz fans in my board have been humping on his leg...

I hear he should be great defensively, learning from the big shot blocker in front of him.

He is very athletic and has pretty good hands I believe.
Plus with his size he will enjoy a lot of open dunks fro, T-Mac assits.
I hope we sign him for the rest of the year.

THAT'S MY BOY JUSTIN!! told you all rockets need him! he'll provide a big muscle inside the paint! just think of him as a taller version of chuck hayes with a little bit of touch from FT with less diving from looseball! 10 day contract? sign him up for 10 yrs $250 million! im lovin' it!

He's going to make Chuck Hayes look like Oliver Miller and wish we replaced him sooner

From signing JVG's ex-Knicks, to signing ex-Kings. I can't complain though, I've only heard positive things about Justin Williams, and we need a big body. Hopefully he can earn a spot on our roster for the remainder of the season. Welcome to Houston Justin.

Finally...people have been clamoring for this guy for over a year. Plus Jones was stealing minutes from Green and I have yet to see why.

Green is such a waste. I hope we get rid of him. I'm excited about this new guy, He sounds alot like a legit reincarnation of Otis Thorpe. Is he as athletic as Landry?
