Of course he does and the Lakers do. Their broadcasters in a game earlier this week said a lot of the Lakers hoped to break the streak tomorrow. I am sure Kobe is one of those Lakers.

Kobe didn't say anything wrong. Watch the interview, he praised us a bunch, just said that he doesn't care about the streak because he essentially treats every game the season this way and has already played some big games this season.

Lol, I don't think he meant it in a way like...**** THE ROCKETS.
He really didn't say anything wrong, and he was right on point, and I agreed to most to what he said "Every NBA team is tough", "and winning 21 in a row is very hard in this league" , "anyone who says else-wise is all BS"

Lol lets not make Kobe look like a bad guy here, the tittle should be changed to "Kobe thinks winning 21 is hard" or something.

He still thinks it is a big deal and finds it amazing. He said it's great for the city and what not but it's not his team that's doing it so he does not care as much. He's just not worried about breaking it.

If he said he plays to break the streak he would be criticized also,

the guy respects our team, so who cares about other things.

I think everyone is mis-interpreting what Kobe said

Every single game we play, the 21 game streak don't mean much. It's one game at a time.

Of course he wants to break the streak, he is going in this game for a "W" not for another in the Loss column. He clearly praised the Rockets. Thread title is misleading (tad of trolling, IMHO).

Trolling, I've been here for year's newby -- w/ 72 posts. Everybody on this board knows RocketsTerps. I'm in everybody's fave five on RocketGM baby. I've bled Rockets red since the Moses Malone days when I was a youngster.

Re the title, did I mis-quote Kobe -- NO. In response to Tracy's notion that Kobe want's to be the one to break the streak he said ... "I don't give a damn..."

People keep asking them like they care. I think Kobe just wants to win, he doesn't care about the Rockets' streak.

Yep, that what he meant.. word for word.

EDIT: But deep down in Kobe's heart and mind, he wants to destroy us.

To tag team with everybody else here yeah the thread title is mis leading. Rocketsterps you said you didn't miss quote Kobe and your right you didn't but the way you put in your post by saying "Yeah Right" your implying that Kobe does care about the streak thats where your wrong.

You have to understand that players will NEVER fully engage their feelings to a reporter. Now inside the Laker locker room you know they have talked about it.

Yeah, he didn't give a damn about the streak, and yet he asked to play the whole game. :D

Well I have blead purple and gold since 79, when I too was a youngster. So your point? No you didn't misquote, but used it out of context to clearly bait Laker fans, you could have easily put the quote were Kobe clearly praised the Rockets. Anyhow...if thats how you roll, your thread was newbie-ish. Your post count means nothing to me as a vistor here as well, your remark about me being a newbie is a personal attack and uncalled for. Oh well, this is old news now.

LOL at picking up an argument 4 days later and the improper use of the word trolling.

Nothing to see here.
