We are working Dale Davis out today. Looks like we are releasing Justin Williams and going w/ a proven vet. Another good move by Daryl Morey.
No link yet, I just heard it on radio 610.
update:
here's the link...

Yeah, I heard it too. Going by what we saw out of Williams, at the worst case, it can't be bad.

i don't know, can he still play at high level? in his 2 last years in the nba he averaged nothing more than 7 minutes.

Wow.
The center position might be manned by Mutombo and Davis.
Wow.

That would be sick! I'd name my first born Morey

Dream's skills diminished pretty quickly, remember. And he didn't just want to be a rebounding, shot blocking center.
I love Dream, but if Morey did find some way to get him to come out of retirement, it wouldn't take long for fans to want Justin Williams back.

Good , I trust him more if an injury happens or something.
I really like Juston Williams skils and size but the 6 minutes he played for us really didn't impress me , the guy was on a 10 day contract and he wasn't even trying.
Sign Mike Harris for the rest of the season BTW.

Well I dunno what to say about this one, I'm assuming that Davis will come off the bench for Deke? Just a big body to throw around?

I don't think he'd play more than 7 mins. Adelman would probably still use Mutombo and Scola, with Hayes coming in after them. Davis would play spot minutes against PHX and SA and other teams that will get our big men in foul trouble.

This seems to be a move made specifically for the playoffs so if Davis is in halfway decent shape then he's one of the twelve so who gets left off the playoff roster?
1. Mcgrady
2. Alston
3. Battier
4. Scola
5. Mutombo
6. Jackson
7. Landry
8. Head
9. Hayes
10. Davis
11. Harris
12. Novak or Brooks???

I think both Brooks and Novak make the playoff roster. You need a 3rd pg just in case, and Novak is a great shooter. If Landry is healthy, Harris is the odd man out.

YES! Landry will play

Yeah. I like Harris, it's just that he duplicates a lot of what other players we have already bring (particularly Landry), but not as well as they do it. I don't see him playing all that well together with Landry (because of the things he duplicates, and unlike our combinations with Battier, Hayes, Scola, and Landry, who all bring different things and could absolutely all be on the floor at once if needed), and we need the backup big and point guard more than the insurance backup backup SG/SF/PF. He's a good player, there's just no room for him on our team, sadly. I still wish we'd been able to keep Buike, but even he would be having some troubles getting PT on our team right now. Is there such a thing as "too loaded"?
