now that the "hell week" is over and we went 2-3 which actually isn't bad but going 3-2 would have been much better.
after tonights loss the rockets sit at 5th place but have homecourt if playoffs started today (better record than jizz)
anyways the last 12 games are easy and the rockets face only 4 +.500 wins but the only problem is that most of the games are on the road
here's what the schedule looks like
vs Sac
vs Min
@ Sperms (3 day break)
@ Sac
@ Por
@ Sea (B2B)
@ LAC
vs Sea
vs Suns
@ DEN
@ JIZZ (B2B)
vs LAC
so at most the rockets can go 10-2 and at shouldn't do worse than 8-4
just take care of business and start another little mini streak

We could possibly win all 12. That's just a thought, but if we want to play the Hornets in the playoffs and want home court, we will need it all 12. You can't take any chances, but the Hornets have a tougher schedule coming up.

the question is, if the rockets can win ALL the games against clipps, sonics, kings and blazers. if we can do that and win atleast 1 of the 4 big teams it's a 9-3, and i'am actually happy with that, means 56 wins, last year we had 52.

We can win the all. but the Suns, Spurs, and Jazz will be tough, we can win them all, but they have to pick up there defense, and play better on the offensive end.

What I find interesting about this team on the road is that I am always afraid of what happened last night. We get down big in the first quarter. I don't care who the opponent is. Thats always my fear. We are a good road team if we don't let ourselves get blown out in the first quarter. We tend to come into games with no sense of urgency. Last night was a prime example. We are a jump shooting team and it takes us a while to get warmed up. As much as I would love to blame Alston....the burden falls on McGrady when it comes to getting us started.
It just seems that this team and its best player don't understand that on the road they can't come in with the energy level they did last night. We would have won that game last night if we just played a better 1st quarter. If we are gonna do well in this remaining schedule...we have to start our road games better. I am always afraid that we won't even give ourselves a chance on the road and we didn't last night. We did in GS and we won.
Its on McGrady to stop pissing off the first few offensive possessions on the road and try to find himself a good shot. I dunno why he didn't post up Grant Hill last night like he did Stephen Jackson the night before. I dunno if Adelman is calling those plays or if thats just what McGrady wants to do. But we have to get off to better starts on the road b/c we will be spending a lot of time there between now and the playoffs and even in the playoffs if we aren't careful.

^ Fine, but realistically, I'd be happy to go 9-3 and finish 56-26.

Everyone thinks we can go 12-0 if we continue and play with confidence. None of these teams should be able to destroy us with their big men EXCEPT Utah, SA, and PHX. Now, the only reason we lost to PHX was because of our horrid defense. If we let these "big men" have their points and have their way and defend everyone else, then I think we have a chance. Because if we can let one man beat us, that is fine with me and I'll live with that. We can beat these teams if we play defense and score.

Rockets have relatively much easier schedule than most the PO chasing teams in WC. Only Lakers and Jazz have equal or easier schedule. Suns, Spurs, Hornets have many tough games in their remaining games and with Dirk going down, Mavs might even have problem in keeping their PO spot. I will not be surprised if Lakers, Jazz and Rockets ended up as the Top 3 seeds.
