http://www.myfoxhouston.com/myfox/pages ... geId=6.1.1
HOUSTON -- Agent Tony Dutt told FOX 26 Sports Wednesday his client, Houston Rockets forward Mike Harris, agreed to a contract with the Rockets that will go through next season. Harris is about to finish his second 10-day contract with the club.
"We have agreed to a contract for the rest of this season and next year as well," Dutt said. "This is a dream come true for Mike. "Everybody with the Rockets organization appreciates Mike for who he is and what he is able to do."
Harris has played in eight games with the Rockets averaging five points and four rebounds a game. Harris is a rookie who played his college basketball at Rice in Houston.

He needs to play more. His minutes have disappered with Landry's return. Rest Shane and TMac more.

Nice, I like him he can attack, and has a nice mid range jump shot. But hopefully he will start getting more playing time.

Looking at that list I'm guessing, barring a trade, 1-9 will be back. I'll say either Novak or Francis doesn't come back. Harris will come back and they'll try to resign Mutumbo and Landry. Leaving anywhere from 10-14 players on the roster before FA and the draft.

Francis said last night during the broadcast that he will re-sign with us.

Does that mean Gerald Green is definitely not coming back? Why did we waste a 2nd rounder if we're going to waive him anyway?

We gave the second round pick to make the deal go through. We saved money on the deal. We used the roster spot to sign Mike Harris. A very late second round pick would not make our team anyway.
I think Gerald Green will be invited to our summer league team & training camp. He will have a shot to be our 15th man.
1.T. Mcgrady
2.Y. Ming
3.L. Scola
4.S. Battier
5.R. Alston
-------------------------------------
6.C. Landry
7.B. Jackson or Steve Francis (one will be traded hopefully in a Mike Miller deal)
8.Luther Head
9.Aaron Brooks
10.Chuck Hayes
----------------------------------------
11.Steve Novak
12.Mike Harris
13.D. Mutumbo or Loren Woods if Deke retires
14. Serge Ibaka or Hasheem Thabeet (1st round pick to be trained by Mutumbo)
15. Gerald Green

Francis already told the team he will exercised his option and return to the team
that doesn't mean we can't waive him right?
i think if no improvement it's time to cut Novak
we got 1st and 2nd round pick in 2008
also Eliyahu and Newley from oversea
i actually would like Newley to replace Head

That's what I was thinking in regards to Francis its not like it would be some huge cap hit to release him.

Read in clutchfan that Harris won a 3pt shoot out with Brooks and BJax. Wow. Didnot realise Harris's 3pt shooting abilities. Hope he can bring it in games.

Nice signing, can never fault a player that plays 100% and can at least finish around the basket.
