I know this is a Rockets board so I want to know where the Rockets rank among the members' favorite sports teams.

Here's Mine:

1. Rockets
2. Longhorns

3. Astros
4. Titans
5. Spurs
6. Yankees
7. Golden Bears

8. Texans

For me it's gonna be very different:
1 Rockets
2 Spurs
3 Olympique Lyonnais
4 Arsenal
5 ASVEL( Lyon's basketball team)
6.Stade Francais(Rugby)

I like only one team in US football, the Rams....all my friends are huge fans, so I became one.

And of course French NT for every sport(rugby, handball, soccer, and of course basket, even tough we suck)
I have an impression American are not that fond of national team; for instance, I feel like for a lot of American here, a Rockets victory is better than a Team USA victory.
Maybe I'm wrong tough.
Different cultures.

I think most Rockets fans would prefer an NBA championship for the Rockets to a gold medal for the men's senior team. During the olympics this summer I'll be a bigger fan of USA basketball than any other team in the world, but liking a team for a couple weeks every 2 years doesn't really amount to much in the grand scheme of things. That being said, I really want us to win gold this year and establish the US as the world's top basketball team again.

Yeah, I understand about the bolded part, but aren't you excited and impatient about the competition??the honour of your country winning possibly?
I mean, I love the NBA, and I followed last season as avidely(is that a word?I tend to mix french and english) as ever, but I ALWAYS had in mind the Eurocup, where I tought the french NT would have a strong tournament...well, obviously, I was badly mistaken..

Rockets and I'm done. I'll watch other NBA teams but I have no favorites outside of our crew.

I'll watch some of the other sports if they're doing well but sports wise it's been that way since 93. Rockets or bust.
