Nobody is taking the Rockets seriously

Post#1 » by carlos1223 » Tue Apr 8, 2008 9:45 pm

I have looked around on other boards and they're saying stuff like you guys fluked your way into the playoffs and that you will be either swept or lose in 5 games. Why is nobody giving you guys any respect? Its almost like people think you guys are nothing without the great wall of yao

Can't blame em. If i was a fan of any of the other 7 playoff squads, i too would love to play the Rox in the first round. Why? We have 2 rookies in our rotation playing major roles that are just prone to make mistakes in the playoffs. We have two interior players(Hayes, Mutombo) that couldn't score if their life depended on it. Aside from Mutombo and Bjax, none of our players have had any success in the playoffs. And lastly, we dont have Yao Ming, who is arguably our best player.

Its just other teams taking advantage of our injury woes. Hey, if the Lakers dont have Kobe or Spurs dont have Duncan... youre goddam right i wanna play against them.

Happens, we have done what we can do. And the fact of the matter is that without Yao, how the hell did we win 50 games? how the hell did we even make the playoffs? how did we win 10 straight without Yao? A lot of people say, well oh they didn't have Gasol, oh they didn't have Dirk, but the fact is that we didn't have the best center in the league, Yao. And yet people still hate, oh well. I don't know about the playoffs, because this team lets me down every time, but I know were damn good enough to take it to 7 games.

I like it this way. We can have a lot of upsets. When someone will say you got lucky and beat them in a series, my insults will start though. We won't get lucky and win any if we win, we will win because we will have played hard. I don't want any of that kind of crap talk.

I'm not giving us no chance against any team this year. If we mesh a la 22 game win streak we have a good chance against anyone with or without Yao.
