- Traded for Bobby Jackson, dumped Bouncey Whales and the Cheap Prostitute.
- Lost Yao Ming to an injury (Keith Jones and the medical staff still getting paid).
- Won 22 games in a row and went undefeated in March 08.
- Scola: ROY candidate.
- Adelman: COY candidate.
- Finished 5th in the tough Western conference.
- Attained homecourt advantage.

What else am I missing here?

Overall, how would you evaluate our season?

Obviously the playoffs will really change whatever perception there is now, but so far you'd have to give us an A. With all the adversity we went through with Mac getting injured, Yao going down and other little injuries and things that didn't work out we still maintained a top playoff spot in the toughest Western Conference of all time. A Warriors team that was all healthy couldn't even make it.

Playoffs would obviously change my mind a little depending on how we play, but so far really can't fault the effort and fight we showed during the season especially after getting off to a rough start.

The only thing you could really complain about was that we didn't grasp Adelman's system early in the season and that it took a while, but that was expected.

For the record, the 'F' option dedicated for compucomp who would have found my thread offensive without it.

Slow start, Tmac's steady decline, Yao's injury prevents me from giving this season an A, so I'll go B+. 22 wins, Scolandry, and Adelman, have been amazing though.

I give our team a B.

We had a great season. Scola and Landry playing well as a rookie, 22 game win streak, Adelman's coaching, Battier's good defensive season. But Yao's injury really cost us.

The good:

- Hired a good coach in RA.

- I have seen something good in Brooks (even though we reached for him) and we have unearthed Landry

- Acquiring Scola from the Spurs was an underrated move. He's adjusted and been very good.

- Dumped Bonzi and the long contract of MJ for B-Jax. If nothing else, we have a big expiring for next season to pull off a trade

- Went 22-0 when we needed it most.

- Home court advantage once again.

- 55 wins

The bad:

- T-Mac's years are winding down and still no fruit (playoff success)

- Yao hurt again

- Slow start

- Still an unreliable bench

Grade: A-

Houston made the playoffs. The season is not over.

I'll go for B+.

I honestly believe if Yao hadn't gone down we'd be either the 1st or 2nd seed and a genuine threat to make the finals, given that even without him we were only short a few games.

As it is, the team addressed some of last season's weaknesses and showed enough, if healthy (big 'if' I know), to justify a very optimistic outlook for next season (hopefully boosted by a few savvy front office moves).

Health. That's what we need most. And a new #$%^#$ trainer!

I think the only thing you missed is that Battier is finally getting recognition (on a 1st team level) for his defensive efforts.

I give us an A for the season. We had a bunch of new guys who were brought here to play big roles (2 of which turned out to be rookies), we had to adjust to Adelman's system, we maintained our defensive intensity from JVG, we've dealt with injuries since December whether it was a nagging injury to Mac, Landry, Alston or the season ending one for Yao, and we still managed to win 55 games while securing HCA in one of the most talented conferences the NBA has seen in a while. What else needs to be said?

We are definitely making steps in the right direction.

I'm going to give it a B+. I know the team got through a lot of adversity and bumps in the road, but I still can't forgive how crappy they started the season.

One of the most promising things this season is knowing that one of our biggest problems(power forward) has been solved. Now we're one Kirk Hinrich away from domination.

We have overcame so many obstacles this year. Yaos injury, new coaching style.

it has been an amazing season so far IMO. This was my first year here and it was fun as **** posting with you guys!!

We did pretty good, but I'm on the Iggyemu General Pessimism Bandwagon (which I've really only been off of for about a month or so all season). We picked up a lot of injuries while fighting for playoff position that are really going to hurt us in the playoffs. Considering only results outside of that, I'd rank the season a solid A, particularly as it's in the history books, but given that those injuries stand a good chance of killing us in the playoffs, I have to push it down to a B/B+. This was still one of the two most enjoyable seasons we've had since 96 (absolutely crushing loss to the oklahoma city sonics aside).

I still think we've haven't fully adapted to Adelman's system. He's held back a lot of the plays he used to run in Portland and Sac b/c he knew it would take too much to adapt to them. I think if we can a passing big man this offseason/draft, you guys are going to see a totally different offense next year. If you watch the games there are only like 4 or 5 real Adelman offensive sets and only like 2 of those are ran well. This has been a fantastic year b/c we know Adelman and this team can work, while keeping the defense somewhat strong. If we strengthen the depth a little bit each year, I'm sure we'll make a deep push into the playoffs in a few years. If we get a big name....a la Gilbert or B.Diddy....then the future will come a lot faster. =)

22 wins in a row is somewhat impressive. If we still have Yao Ming we could easily grab the 1st seed. No matter what we do in the playoff, I am satisfied with our teams and we should be pound of our team.
