i think theyre gonna want battier or brooks. if they do, i say no way. he was horrible in the postseason. right now i dont even think id trade the chuckster for josh howard. j-ho's value is down right now, but i think dallas is gonna want quite a bit for him.

While I would want him, there's no chance we get him considering Dallas is our divisional rival, and other teams can offer potentially more. I mean the guy is all-star caliber when rolling, 20/7.

Dallas would not do this....

Hate was talking about Jet+Howard for McGrady earlier. Looks like it's a pipedream for Dallas. (and Amel)

He's a great player but unfortunately I see no chance in us getting him.

And it would be awesome to see Howard and Deke sip Heinys, smoke weed and have them screaming "who wants to sex Mutombo?", wouldn't it?

Dallas might be desperate to get rid of him so they may take a little less but I would definitely say any deal for him would have to involve Battier.

Dallas won't send him here and he doesn't fill the voids we have at the 1,5. Why get him for a 2nd/3rd option? Dallas is notorious for over-rating their players and wanting too much. They would be dumb to let him go. Their teams W/L hinges on how he plays.

We don't have any pieces to get him (9 million per year) other than Battier (no).

Either way, I wouldn't want him here (bad character guy and very unlikable) and Dallas wouldn't send him to us without overpricing and/or immediately shipping off Dirk as well. Given our history of avoiding troublemakers (which the Mavs dont have, taking chances with quite a few guys), there's almost 0% odds that we go after him.

Given what we'd have to give, there's not much point in lowering our depth at SF to add a backup at SG behind McGrady. He's also not an overly efficient scorer or good passer, though he does rebound well.
Morey 2020.

Q:How are they experts when they're always wrong?
A:Ask a stock market analyst or your financial advisor
