Nothing to be sad about, our players gave 120% against a team with better and bigger players. And we unexpectedly won 2 games. Our weak offensive players and all the "injuries" really gave us a little chance to win.
Just imagine the Jazz without Boozer or Dwill, and two other ailing players. It's true our conditioning wasn't great, but we depended on two 35+ yr olds during this series.. I love the impact Deke and Bjax made, because they're well above their years and still can compete at this level.
Morey made a huge mistake getting rid of Bonzi, but hopefully we can make use of bjax contract next year.

It's true , we sacrificed for the future.
Now I want to see Morey use Jackso's contract and some assets to add another core guy without giving up a core guy.

Yao's out, we have 3 players requiring offseason surgery. Alston went down in the third quarter and was out two other games, all three of which we lost. Landry was only just recently SOMEWHAT rounding back into what he was before. The Jazz were at full health. Our scrubs that have started getting complained about the past few weeks REALLY don't affect the game much with regard to all the losses we've had, save that they're having to play a lot more minutes because our rotation guys were so beat up. Deke isn't a scrub he is a great 10-15mpg backup center who was shoved into starting for us with Yao out and did an awesome job considering he's 42. McGrady is not LeBron and cannot beat an entire team by himself, 20million/yr or no (and even LeBron is only barely going to be able to do that sort of thing occasionally - it's kinda not easy to do and McGrady is pushing 30). Wells was shooting a whopping 42% for us and couldn't run point, which we very much ended up needing (imagine how fast we would have gotten swept this series without Jackson - only Wells, Brooks, and McGrady to play point :shudder:).
We played a great series given what we had left to work with. (i still couldn't watch the fourth quarter)
This season was great to watch, just too bad it ended early.

Morey 2020.
