Your Season Summary

Focus : Give your thoughts on the Rockets season. Good, bad, ugly, or otherwise.
- This sucks. I wanted to see them advance. But I don't think anyone can say they're shocked by the loss. Without Yao and Rafer, the Rockets were crippled at the onset against Utah.
- I have never in my life (and I'm old) seen officiating as lopsided as the 1st and 3rd quarters of last night's loss. It was comically bad. It was so ridiculous I didn't even get mad. I was just fascinated. The Jazz big men could have sodomized a Rockets player at half court and the refs would've no-called it. Granted, I don't think it cost the Rockets the game. In every 7 game series, there are two blowouts (one for each team), and 5 close games. Game 6 was their blowout. Game 5 was the Rockets' blowout. And w/out Rafer in the 2nd half, it was inevitable.
- As for next season's Rockets chances, I am equal parts encouraged and worried. The development of our young guys is reason to be pleased. Yao and Tracy's dubious health is a real reason to worry.
- Season summary:
IMHO, this season came down to 3 things-
1. Health. 'nuff said.
2. New System. It took 3 months for the Rockets to 'click' in Adelman's new system. And 3 months for Adelman to figure out his rotation. Those first 2-3 months' record hamstrung the team from a playoff position perspective.
3. 22 game win streak. Without it, the Rockets would have been in an even worse playoff seed. Rockets fans would be well-served to remember it. Without that streak, even making the playoffs would have been in serious peril.
Thoughts? Requests? Additions? Objections?
