Could Landry be part of a deal in Sign and Trade?

Someone else brought this up in another post. Could the Rockets package Landry In a sign and trade deal? I read that there are a lot of quality PF in this draft. We could draft another PF. It kinda makes sense to me if we trade Landry with Jackson or whatever to get the 3rd score we have been looking for. That kind of package could land us Miller or maybe Jefferson or another young scoring wing. What player would we want if we added Landry in a deal???

Yes, he could be.

I'd like to see him stay though.

I love Landry... when he's healthy. His knee is becoming a concern, and what originally dropped his draft stock. If he does get traded maybe management knows more about the situation than they are letting on.

It all depends for who we would get in return, but I'd like to keep him, he's a very good player with a ton of potential, if anything trade Brooks.

IIRC you can not package another player in the deal that involves a sign in trade.

Bucks would probably trade you Michael Redd for Carl Landry (Milwaukee native) and Shane Battier (we badly need a well rounded SF with defense and leadership) but like the previous poster mentioned, I am not sure it is possible.

As much as I like Redd, we need a player in return who can actually play defense.

Redd is overrated, Hes not a franchise player. He is too 1 dimensional because he doesn't do much if hes not knocking down shots.

Tonight is the draft lottery.

Theoretically, how much is Landry worth compared to this year's draft?
Would he be able to get us a top 12 player in a S&T?

Would you trade Landry + 25th pick for Russell Westbrook? Eric Gordon? Kevin Love? Brook Lopez? DeAndre Jordan? Anthony Randolph?

I wouldn't trade him to a Western Conference team unless it was a real high pick. Indiana would probably be very interested in acquiring Landry after the way he destroyed the Pacers in Indy last year.

I would trade Landry and our 1st for a top 10 or even 12 pick in a second.
No GM will even consider it though.

I dont see why not.
if the 2007 draft were re-done Landry would be probably the 8th pick

1. Durant
2. Horford
3. Oden
4. Young
5. Thornton
6. Stuckey
7. Green
8. Landry
9. Conley
10. Noah

Uh, Yi is not a bust. And you really think Conley would go after Landry? LMFAO!

Yi is TERRIBLE. He gets a quarter of his shots blocked inside. A QUARTER! That's like a 6'0" PG number.

Yi Jianlian
Mike Conley
Carl Landry

Which one of these players made the All-Rookie team this year?

Mike Conley would have made at least the 2nd team if he played more this season. I still like his upside.

Conley had almost double the minutes played that Carl had and Carl made the 2nd team.

Conley - 53 games, 1381 minutes played
Landry - 42 games, 711 minutes played

True, but I think Conley will have the most upside than Landry.

He can be dealt in a sign and trade deal, but it'd better be a hell of an offer because his youth and potential is a great asset to our team.

I would also trade Landry + our first for a top 10 pick. It's a gamble for sure (as all picks are), but one you'd have to take if it was even on the table, which it won't be.
