The Official 2008 Draft Thread

Post#1 » by Shabi__5 » Mon Jun 2, 2008 10:56 pm

I though we needed a thread for all the draft talk.

Say what you want us to do , trade the pick , move up , move down , who to draft and etc...

Currently I am really high on Robin Lopez , Bill Walker , CDR , Brandon Rush for our pick.

I like CDR the most , he is a creator , I think thats more important than outsode shooting as long as the outside shooting is not terrible.

Anybody thinks someone will be stupid enough to give us a early 2nd round pick for Head???

Nicholas Batum, CDR, or Brandon Rush who are all possibly taken prior to our pick.

I prefer Rush over the other two players due to his ability to play off the ball. He's arguably the best off-ball player coming out of this draft. Our bench needs his kind and not necessarily a creator or someone who is only efficient when he has the ball.

I will give head for cash and a 2nd rounder.

Well i wont.... but i think Morey should. Head is useless. Good for a stroke here and there but thats it. Good for a short spurt then he's done.

As for draft pick, i'll take CDR eventhough he's a choker.

There are so many players I like in this draft I wish we had 4 picks in the late 1st or early 2nd.

Nah 4 picks are too much. I would like to have 2 though. CDR and Hibbert.

I like Lopez more than Hibbert , Lopez is more athletic a better shot blocker and can also play the 4.

If we can get JJ Hickson in the 2nd round through buying a pick I think he is a steal.

He might be better than Landry.

Hibbert vs. Robin Lopez is a toss up imo.

Both players will make or break in the next round.

So why was my Luther Head thread locked in the trade board? I think the mod hates me. :(

Solid contributors can be found in late first. That's pretty good. I would love to have CDR or Hibbert or Lopez or Rush. I'll be happy with any one of those.

Rose? 6'4"
hahaha he's only 6'1.25" w/o shoes
not even 6'3" with shoes
well not that many people are honest on their height anyway

Joe Alexander look pretty good in those measurements

Everyone exaggerates about their height. Beasly was supposed to be 6'10. But in reality he is only 6'7 without shoes. :nonono:
That's shorter than Carl Landry by almost a full inch.

I would like to move up to get Donte Green. Maybe swap Head and our 1st to move up a few spots say Washington or maybe Cleveland. I think he could be had around that area. He would be perfect 6'10 SF!!! Sounds like a younger version of T-mac!!!! That is the postion we should look for someone to give T-mac a breather.

Haha...
O.J. Mayo is 6'3'' NOT 6'5''.
Plus, O.J. has a shoter wingspan than Rose!

Rose looks like about 6'3" on TV
Beasley looks like about 6'8" (i never believe he's 6'10")

at least there are some honest about their height
Durant for example
Durant listed as 6'9" (some 6'10", he is 6'9" w/o shoes and 6'10" w/ shoes)

That's because Durant is so tall, theres no need to lie about his height. If you add an inch or 2 to his height, he'll be a 7 footer. He probably doesn't wanna play center.
