Re: t-mac
It's been said by many already, but we're not going to be trading Tmac unless we want to blow this whole thing up. Right now if we trade McGrady there is no way that we get equal value or even anywhere close to equal value back. IMO, our team gets a lot worse no matter who we get in return since no other team in the league will be willing to give us a superstar quality player in return for Mac.

Re: t-mac
Trading T-MAC makes complete sense since he can't lead the Rockets out of the first round. Right?
Hell no i believe in T-MAC, hes gonna get it done, especially after this good off season the rockets are gonna have.

Trading T-Mac will result in several lotto picks in the coming years.

You mean, RJ played with Kidd (who led that Nets team out of the first round), who played in an All-Star game with Michael Jordan, who was in Looney Toons: Back in Action with Steve Martin, who was in Novocaine with Kevin Bacon.

Win now mode..
His value is pretty low...
Doesn't make sense to trade him because we won't get much and it'll create more problems instead of fixing some. which sets us a couple steps back instead of moving forward.

Chance at winning a championship or chance to not be traded?
Yao will be here until his marketing value drops.

Re: t-mac
That's the nasty thing. Because of how big his contract is, he won't even have that much value as an expiring because of how many players/the contract sizes of what would have to be included to make a trade for him work. I'm expecting us to re-sign him to a much smaller contract (~11-14m/yr, frontloaded, with clauses for games played or something).

For who?
Joe Johnson and Zaza Pechulia?
ATL:
1 - Bibby / Law / Claxton
2 - T-Mac / S. Stoudemire
3 - M. Williams / Childress
4 - J. Smith / S. Jones
5 - Horford / ?
HOU:
1 - Rafer / Brooks / Jackson?
2 - Johnson / Head / Francis?
3 - Battier / Novak
4 - Scola / Landry / Hayes
5 - Yao / Pachulia / Mutombo
I'm not sure the Hawks make that trade. What do you think?

Re: t-mac
ATL definitely WON'T trade both, Johnson and Williams. You gotta be (kinda) realistic here.
Remember, they picked Williams over Paul and Deron Williams. At least by moving Johnson they can play Marvin more minutes to justify that pick. Plus, he can be their primary defender.
EDIT: Forgot to mention that Pachulia fills a need in HOU, while Marvin Williams won't be as valuable to us if we get Johnson. Mutombo will have to retire eventually.

I actually think him resigning is the least likely scenario.
And I highly doubt you can put in a clause for games played under the current CBA.

I don't know about the current CBA, but I do remember several clauses supplying performance bonuses on older ones for games played, ast/to ratios, etc.
Why the least likely? For a team to trade with us involving TMac, they would probably have to want to rebuild and give up ~18.5+ million in contracts for a 30/31 y/o oft-injured SG. We'd likely be taking back longer contracts in that scenario. This would all take place involving a team where those player/s had not been working out. I don't see us letting him walk for nothing either, that leaves a contract extension at a lower pay or a sign-and-trade (also likely to be at a lower cost, but higher than we would want to pay). The whole situation doesn't make much sense for a trade scenario that I can think up, but if you can point one out, I'm all ears.
