So what rumours don't mean ****.
95% of the rumours are bs and don't happen at all.
What good rumours bring us other than things to discuss?
It cost us Brandon Roy.

I like hearing rumours as well but it's better when you don't hear rumours , Morey doesn't need to show everybody his hand because we will lose leverage.

And BTW if we trade Battier it has to be for someone who is just as good as him on defense because otherwise it will be a lateral move.
Battier for Artest , Jefferson , Prince=Good
Battier for Maggette , M.Miller=Bad

What are the chances we upgrade Battier to a guy like Artest? Very low.
We need to try and add a guy like Maggette with Battier , and even that is a long shot , especially in the off season.
“He didn’t miss?” , “That’s fantastic. That’s tremendous. I wish I could have a day like that. I dream of the day I could go 12-for-12.”-Rafer Alston

Those are rumors, We had some rumors involving us, the T-Mac for Sheed and Hamilton trade and the T-Mac for Billups and Prince trade recently. And over the last week on ESPN790 I heard a dude on hoopsworld say that he would be surprised if we stay at pick 25. He also said we have targeted Courtney Lee, but IMO he will be gone about time we pick at 25. So our best bet is to stay put for trades at the draft, and improve our bench and try to get a 3rd scorer.

The reason why you probably don't hear anything involving Morey and/or Battier is because it would be foolish to trade Battier.

Morey is no fool.

You know where 99.999997% of the rumors on the internet come from? Fans (and Peter Vecsey and that guy from The Tribune). Now wage a guess how likely it is that a fan knows thing #1 about what's going on in the front office. I'll sit back here and wait while you come up with an answer to that one.

:: whistle and tap foot ::

Secondly, while you want us to trade Battier and are 100% convinced that it is THE. ONLY. problem and THE. ONLY. answer causing the team's woes, you've been convinced of things in the same way several times before only to come around later. Stop posting your assertion constantly, step back, and think about what you're saying and some of the other ramifications involved. The trick is to put a good argument behind what you want, not state something enough times to bludgeon all other parties into grudging agreement. This is something like the fourth to seventh time you've said this same thing in the past 4 days, this one requiring its own thread.

That said, at least there's something to respond to. How many days till tipoff again?
Morey 2020.

Q:How are they experts when they're always wrong?
A:Ask a stock market analyst or your financial advisor

How many repetitions make something true?

He must think that by repeating the same thing over and over, the rest of us will start believing it.

Actually, now that I think of it, maybe it IS Battier's fault that we won 50+ games. Again.

We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.
